Premade Sims 2 Houses?
I'm just curious, not trying to be accusing or anything, but...

Does anybody here actually USE/PLAY in the Sims 2 houses provided (this includes the ones bundled in with new EP/SPs)? I have every single EP and SP, except for Family Fun and Teen Stuff (never really was one to discriminate and I'd hate to buy game items just for ONE category of characters), but I was looking in my Lots bin the other day.

I discovered that there's a house that, apparently, was supplied with the Kitchen & Bath or Mansion & Garden set: Stylish Setup. It's a really nice "modern"/"glass" house that doesn't generate a lot of lag. (I think all the premade houses that came with K&B/M&G are really nice.)

Also, they have two other small houses, which seem to be the only ones who don't have a "tag" on the upper right hand corner, which helpfully describes where it's from. The first is a one story gray house on silts (I believe they called it a loft?) and the other one I've forgot the name, but I think it's a bigger house. Both are still really nice.

Anybody know where the last two creeped in from? The loft uses a shoe statue in the living room, so I know it at least involves Glamour Life in some form.

I'm not a builder, so I used to play the premade lots exclusively before I started downloading. To take advantage of the new lots that have come with each EP/SP, I added them to HP's megahood (which I play in an all-EAxis environment).

"Uplifting Loft" and "Forsythe Place" came with Glamour Life Stuff...but don't be fooled by Forsythe Place. It has a large facade, but it's a single-story home.

Since I almost always play legacies, I usually just start with the blank lot and build from the ground up. But this time, I decided to start in a pre-made house, then moved to a slightly bigger one, and their next move will be the final one to the "legacy lot"

I think I'll have to check out those two houses next time I start a new family...

Oh, I see. It seems to me that the lots become prettier and prettier the more recent the EP/SP: marketing strategy, anyone?!

Yeah, Forsythe Place looks almost like a custom house you'd find for download here (it has a nice pond and is decorated with all sorts of plants) but with less lag... and room.

depends on the mood I'm on but yes I'll use the pre made lots if I don't feel like building houses. ;-)

For the first two months, I used premade lots, because anything I built was a flaming bag of poo. But now, I've gotten better. Not good enough to upload anything, but at least it doesn't make Medusa scream.

I like the pre-made apartments so I've used them quite a lot. They're surprisingly nice.
