Default Children can get Part-time Jobs
If you shift click on your mailbox you'll notice the option is there to set career. Well while a child sim is selected just shift click on the mailbox and select a part time job. So far i've only tested it with a part time job at the spa. My child sim went to work and got paid then came back home. Just an F.Y.I for you in case your sim family is low on cash

Mmm. Child Labor.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Yes, I thought of that. But in the game you'll notice that child sims are the ones who deliver the paper. To deliver the paper to the whole neighborhood probably takes like 3 hours or so. So if a child gets a part-time job in the game its no different then the paper girl (or boy) that delivers the paper in the game. It was just an idea.

Cool! I'll try this the next time I have a child in the game.

Everything sucks, until it doesn't.

No, teens go to school and they have part time jobs. The job at the spa starts at 3:00 so the child can make it there in time.

Does it explode your game if you give them a full time job? :D

Well, I wouldn't recommend giving them full-time jobs, as that would really be child labor, and besides the children have to go to school and can't have a full time job and go to school.

Finally, a way for my child sims to start pulling their weight around the house. Honestly, they're just so demanding! "I'm bored, I want a toy.", "I want to go to talk to friends.", "I'm hungry." Maybe a little factory work will hush that Timmy up for a while.

...What? :P

If he breaks his leg and permanently requires crutches as a result just make sure that poor Timmy PAYS for it all. Kids are ALWAYS thinking the adults should pay for their medical bills...what?!

I thought I saw a mod for teens to start advancing in mainstream careers such as @ the bistro or in music... has anyone else seen this

I guess I am interested in fast tracking towards career goals while still in school

you can get teens in the music career with just the testingcheatsenabled command it makes them work parttime hours but sometimes they get off at midnight and are breaking curfew

So you can't change things like breast size, you can't have parents give hugs to their children unless they are best friends, and you can't have family kisses... but babies can die with story progression and there is child labor?? What was EAxis thinking?!

Some sims also have wants to see their living relatives' ghost. ...So they also included a desire for murder in a way.
