Where can I download a program that allows me to change the length of sims ages, I downloaded an age hack, but it wasn't retroactive, in that none of my previous sims, or townies, had a lifespan of 91 days. I know it's possible, simply because people have meantioned changing age lengths. (someone took 8 days from teen and added it to adult) and because of the simple fact that there is an age hack

tl;dr: I'm looking for a program to change a sims lifespan, and I want it to work retroactively as well.

You have to edit it with SimPE to change the age length like you want and it works for existing sims.

I'm sorry, wrong information. It doesn't work for existing sims, you have to change the current age manually one by one with SimPE. It should work when they age up.

Yeah, um, I can't figure out what to do to actually adjust the length using that thing, if you've used it could you point me in the right direction?

Open the file with SimPE. Go to Behaviour Constant/Tuning. You will get a list with the age lenth for all age groups, two lines each (min&max).
For all age groups exept elders min&max are the same. Change them as you like, when you want your sims to be teens for a week instead of two, change both lines from 14 to 7.

To change the age lenth for your existing sims, open the neighborhood with SimPE and choose a sim. You will see how many days are left for this age stage, change them as you like.

I know this hasn't had a reply in almost two years but, I really need help. The a bove comment helped me greatly but, I'm still stuck, where do you see the two lines. Do you have to open the package. Do you have to edit and how? I've got SimPE and the package. I'm just a beginner at this kind of technical area, any help is really appreciated.

Go into SimPE and open a age duration mod up. At the left there's a window called Resource Trees. Click the one that has (BCON) in the name. Then in the big window you will see a "resource" containing a list that goes somewhat like this:
Baby Min (Line 0)
Baby Max (Line 1)
Toddler Min
Toddler Max
Child Min
Child Max
Teen Min
Teen Max
Adult Min
Adult Max (Line 9)
Elder Min (Line 10)
Elder Max (Line 11)
Other Variables for Elders (Lines 12-14)

Click on the resource and in the window below the big one, click the one you want to edit. Edit the value and hit fix TGI (If it's there), then Commit. If it's not the Elder ones, keep the Min/Max the same. Keep doing that until you are satisfied with the ages. Not sure about how to mess around with the other crap dealing with aspiration and the bonus or penalty it gives, but it's probably similar, except you need to put a minus in front of the penalty (Maybe. Not sure if it IS signed or not...). Mess around with it a little, and when you are satisfied, hit Fix TGI (If it's there) and Commit. Then Save As to wherever you want to put it (Make sure to name it!)
