Default Getting Cursed
I now have a mission that i first need to get burned, then wet and then getting cursed.

Burned and getting wet wasnt the problem but no mummy wants to curse me. Is there a way to get cursed?

Thanks

Poke the mummy with a stick until it gets mad, Or insult it's momma.... hahaha I'm sorry, I'm very tired and I have no clue.

Late dawns and early sunsets just like my favorite scenes
Then holding hands and life was perfect just like up on the screen

To become cursed you must fight with a mummy and then lose. Just remember that after the mission you must go to the Sphinx and plead with it to become cured or your sim will die within two weeks. Hope that helps!

There isn't a 100% chance that you'll be cursed when you lose though. You will know that you are because you'll get a bad moodlet and the screen will look a bit ominous when the cursed sim is selected.

The way I got cursed for that mission was the second floor of the Great Pyramid, there is a mummy up there. The only way to get up there though is to have the special ax from China. There is also a mummy on Basement level 1 of the Pyramid of Burning Sands, the hallway that has 6 chest in it going towards the sarcophagus, I've also been cursed there.

I also am looking for a mummy to curse me. I found one - beat him in the fight. Found a second one, but had mummy snacks on me, so no cursing there. Anyone know of anywhere else to find mummies?

I have trouble too because my sim has maximum fitness and is a master of martial arts, so i have kicked the ass of all the mummies i've encountered (probably 8-10)

I'm pretty sure if you are at level 10 martial arts you will never get cursed by a mummy.

I have the same problem. So annoying! There are simply no mummies left in Egypt to curse me!

You can save before you fight the mummy, and restore and fight again until you get the curse. That's how I managed this quest (with the pair of mummies in Abu Simbel).

Or you can use buydebug to fill a lot with sarcophagi and set them all to generate mummies.

However, none of this will help if you have maxed martial arts and don't have the Loser trait, afaik. I guess you can cheat to temporarily assign yourself "loser", or alternatively cheat to reduce your martial arts skill level.

I have the same problem and I don't think there's something I can do about it (she attacks every mummy with her 10 in fitness and martial art. Furthermore, she has the brave trait... sigh).
Anyway, you can find three mummies in the Sphinx, you have to explore the black sources.

Srikandi, I have to disagree with you on this one. Although I havent yet got this quest, I had a sim who was max Athletics and max Martial Arts, and never had the loser trait, but the first mummy she fought she lost. She never got cursed but definetly lost.

@ allanmad : Does she have the Easily Impressed trait? My simlady has it, she is level 10 in both athletism and martial arts, and she lost at almost all her fights...

And about the mission, it is so lame that I never got it...

Default Im struggling.
I've pretty much murdered alll the mummies in Egypt, because I too, have brave trait, and athletic and martial arts mastered, so I really need to finish this adventure to get to level 3 visa in Egypt.

from the looks of this thread Im screwed too
Athletics is too easy to not master within a couple o days of having your sim
And I rushed to master MA cause I thought I could whip townie's butts in Sunnyville (...you cant)
I beat down all the China mummies...even the fat one (lol)
Egypt is the only vacation spot I havent been to.

edit: No I'm not, even with lev 10 athletics and MA I was able to get cursed (w00t)

If you collect the pieces of the Cursed Sarcophagus, you can sleep in it and become cursed. Unfortunately, I left mine at home... I may go home from my vacation, curse myself, and return to complete the burn, soak, curse challenge.

I found out at about the sarcophagus trick at Carl's Walkthrough

The Cursed Sarcophagus will not curse you but transform your Sim into a mummy. That's something completely different. Being cursed means that your Sim will die after 14 days have passed if you haven't found a cure until then.

hmm I thought I saw somewhere you could get cursed sleeping the Cursed Sarcophagus. Not on Carl's site. I will see if I can find it. My bad.

They won't die. They'll become a mummy themselves.

no they dont become mummies themselves, i know because i forgot to cure my sim and they died (i had supernatural when this happened) and yes my sim went to the underworld, but i got a opertunity (tired so i cant think straight spelling wize) to resurect a sim and when i resurected that sim and went into CAS to see what it died with, it was the mummies curse.

This thread is over 3 years old, I'm pretty sure the OP found the solution to his problem.
