heres the dx log that should give the info u need. and ive did everything in the crash faq and nothing helps. in my opinion i think the problem either lies in i me having a quad core or the game has a memory problem or doesnt work good with win 7 but i do have in in compatabliy mode. the crash is with or without cc either mods or just store downloads.
since its almost always the same crash i was hopeing i could find out what file thta its accessing when it crashes to see what it is. so far its like this
vanallia with no patch=no crashes
1.2 patch= crash after about 6 hours normaly
1.3= unplayable crashes at start, create sim etc etc
1.4= random crash sometimes a hour sometimes 4 hours then crash
1.6/2.2= 20-40min play then crash with or without cc.(im also lucky and my load times are still normal. and yes i have the ep)
one thing i have noticed thou since ive read every crash log is that it never gets to using all the virtual memory. lowest it gets is with 128meg of 2gig left even thou system virtual memory is 15gig. even changing the setup file for it to use more doesnt change it.the cc i use is mostly clothes and hair. only hacks i use are ones that have been updated like the new uncensor,no intro, and the teen wohoo all 3 of those have been updated for 2.2.
if i can figure out what its accessing with the 0x00000014 error that probaly fix my crash since 90% the crashes have that crash. wish the ea customer service would help but been 5 days no reply from them.
forgot to mention that on the nvidia cards u cant use any 190+ drivers cause they cause sims to crash.

- General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue. Please post your system specs - instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specswiki - Sims 3 - Game Crashes
For game crash related issues, please see this FAQ:
Game Help:Sims 3 Crashingwiki
Also try going through the game crash guide, step by step. There are some other things we can try but that works for most people.

Not everyone has this problem, so it's not as simple as to say sit back and wait for EA to fix it. Something is wrong on your end.
You’ve obviously upgraded to Windows 7 since that desktop was never offered with Windows 7. Did you use an upgrade DVD or did you do a reformat + fresh installation?
First off, try the memory trick in this thread: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=375907
If that does not work I suggest reinstalling, exactly like this:
Lets also update some drivers:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_w...95.62_whql.html
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/con...lName=&lang=eng
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...tid=-1&impid=-1
My last suggestion is to remove that extra RAM you upgraded, and leave just 2x2GB (2 sticks totaling 4GB) in there. Because a) you won't ever use it b) filling all 4 slots sometimes causes problems

1) Go to My Documents and cut/paste your user files from C:\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ to your Desktop. (This is where your saved game data is so if you don't want to lose it make a backup first) Also, back up your cc from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods' 2) Uninstall the base game (and expansion if you have it) from Add/Remove Programs. Then restart your computer. 3) Manually delete the entire 'The Sims 3' folder from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3' (you should have backed up your cc in step 1) (and 'The Sims 3 World Adventure' folder from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures' if you have the expansion) 4) Download and install this program: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Use the registry cleaner. When it prompts you make a backup of the files you are removing 5) Restart your computer, then try to reinstall just the base game try to play the game. Don't patch it the first time. See if it works. If it works then you can experiment with patches and if you have the expansion (newest is 1.7) 6) If it still works, you can try adding back in your user files |

Thank you for being our guinea pig. If that fixes things for enough people we're going to make a guide. So far 3 computers fixed.
Post back in a few days if it stays fixed.

so far no problems but mixing and matching mods and since its a 5-40min crash anyway takes time to test. only crash so far was with loading a saved sim in create a sim mainly cause i didnt install any of the sim store stuff i dont use so when tried to load that sim it was missing some of the stuff and crashed but the crashlog thou showed something good
Total virtual memory: 4095 Mb<---was just 2048
Free virtual memory: 2778 Mb
so that program does work increasing its allowable virtual memory. my crash may have been realated to ram cause every crash log i ever checked when i crashed put the memory at the same 2 ammounts when it crashed that was 128 and 220ish.
from my experience most games wont use more than 2gig ram but they will spike over it at times. wheni had win vista i had a memory montir so montored my memory usage and noticed sims 3 liked to spike alot when close to 2k ram. basicaly the game was limited it to 2k ram but system telling it it can use more since have 8gig ram on 64 bit system
well back to testing/playing was sleep whole day thanksgiving wear u out lol.
update
so far so good still getting all the stuff i deleted in anger trying to get it to work but so far no crash for a total of 4 hours of playh. ive also noticed loads are what they where before ep. also editing the city is back to normal speed. ill update if anything new happens.
also would be good to get a poll to see what systems everyone using and what problems they having.would be good to know the percentage of 32bit vs 64 bit and win 7 vs win xp users that are having poblems. i think sims3 thou hates 64 bit systems thou.
update 8 hours no crash so guess this is a fix for people that have a crash without usingg cc/mods
well looked like that is a fix for some peoplei havnt crashed since i did that.
