This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations
Default Pitch black room, even with light & windows
Today I moved my sim family to a new house I had previously build myself on an empty lot. While building and decorating, everything seemed normal and worked. When I started playing on the lot, one room stayed pitch black even though it had windows and lamps (same as everywhere else in the house, which looks normal). I tried to delete all the furniture in the room, turn the light on/off, but it still stayed dark. Only when I removed the windows, the room went back to the slightly lighter, "normal" windowless state as the other rooms would look without windows.

What could cause this? I even tried to change the shape of the room, if that would've been it, but to no avail. It's driving me slowly bonkers because I spent so much time on this house and I really love it.. just this one room has this problem.

Below some picture evidence (ALL lights are turned on in the lot - everything's normal in the other rooms as you can see). Thank you in advance.

What's that in front of the window? If the object is badly coded, then the game may think it's blocking the light. The simple question - have you tried just reloading?

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Thank you - I feel so stupid, I was sure it was just something to do with the new patch or the way I built the room etc. I tried reloading before I asked and tried again after you answered, and on the second time it looked fairly normal again, if not slightly dark still. But at least I'm now able to see the room. I think it had something to do with the time of the day changing and somehow that room got glitched? But anyway, thank you for answering even if the solution was this simple.. and duhhh, me.
