This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage
Default Cheat for placing door on split level floor
I used the interior split level foundation tool (not the brick foundation tool) to raise the floor in a bedroom. I wanted to then add a door to a wall in that room which extends to a raised floor on the other side. MoveObjects on with ConstrainFloorElevation False does not do it.

Is there any way to place a door in this area?

Thanks,
Kristin

Doors were not intended to be placed on walls that intersecting or adjacent to the stage. You can use "moveobjects on" to place a door and the Sim will use it. The door will just appear to be in the wall until the wall cutout updates. The wall cutout doesn't automatically adjust for the elevation shift. It will appear as normal if you save and reload the lot. However, the door mesh also won't be the shifted upward. The Sim will ram their head through the wall when they traverse through the door. I suppose it would be possible to create a special "resized" version of the doors, but that might be a time-consuming project, even for just EA doors. You might could try a really tall archway, though.

ETA: You don't need the constrainfloorelevation cheat for the stage tool.

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

Thanks. Its odd that it wasn't allowing me to place the door there. Maybe I need to check the ceiling height above and bump it back to 75 then place it. Or maybe I'll just leave a "door looking" window there. Its not really a space that the sims must walk through, its just for decorative purposes.
