Default Ways to kill Sims and NPCs ?
Hello everyone.

I am wondering what ways you have discovered so far to kill Sims and NPCs. I, for one, have discovered that it is impossible to kill NPCs like the maid or the baby-sitter, but I haven't experimented a lot, so I am not sure about it.
The only non-creative way I have found so far to kill Sims in active households is to remove the ladder and build a wall around the pool.

How do you kill your Sims, or Sims that annoy the hell out of you?

Doors! What are they good for? Absolutely nothing!

Twallan's SuperComputer, kill sim menu item, followed by the moodlet manager to clean up mourning moodlets in survivor sims.

And even then, in TS3 they can always just climb right out anyway. :[
When I want to kill someone really quickly I just use testingcheatsenabled and drag the hunger bar down, but there is such a thing as too many skinny, pink ghosts...

Thank you all, guys.

So, are you all saying that apart from cheats and mods, the old good, traditional ways we have in TS2 were eliminated in TS3? This is not fun. :/

P.S. I see the retardo disagreeing even with simple questions is still at work.

I built a little side house with nothing but a bed, and glass walls. I remove the door when there is a sim in there, and let them starve for a few days. Problem solved!

That, or set them on fire.

Damn! I forgot the "remove door" trick. LOL
How do you set them on fire? Do I need Ambitions, because I don't have it yet.

To set them on fire, put a tv and chair in a corner. When they watch tv from the chair, block off the corner with a stove. Cook something in the oven, then cancel it while its still in the oven. It will catch fire, and burn them to death.

This is a creative way of killing Sims.
What about NPCs? Have you discovered anything?

You seem to know what you're doing, and I have a "Creeped out" Moodlet right now.

For the maid you could always dirty up a room which 'happens' to have a disappearing door. As for the newspaper boy or the mailman try building a room around them when they're too busy waiting outside your house for an award or something.

I personally wondered what happened if you killed the repoman or the CPS guy...

You can't easily kill service sims via starvation, as they are able to teleport off the lot (unless I encountered a bug when i tried).

My favorite way is to put in a cheap shower, make them shower repeatedly until it breaks. Then I wait for the puddles to spawn, move a basic TV into the puddle so the sim is standing in water, then have the sim upgrade the TV until he electrocutes himself to death.

GLASS walls? Is that just so you can see them slowly starving?

I've seen a mod on this site that lets Sims practice magic, and one of the higher level spells is "Kill Sim". I don't know exactly how it works though.

Kolipoli's Magic Skill mod, ani's Dexter's Bear mod, and desecrate's Weapons System mod are always fun ways to kill people.

I would like to clear up the little matter of my sanity as it has come into question. I am not in any way, shape, or form, sane. Insane? Hell yes!

Technophobe Gold Digger.

On the night of the consummation of the marriage, she sabotages the stereo while her rich and clueless husband is taking a refreshing shower. Then she insists he puts on music for "atmosphere".

Much to the poor sod's dismay, the brand new, super-expensive stereo is broken, but he must fix it! NOW!

Oooh, I haven't tried that one yet, ingenious.

You can kill them with fire by putting them into a very small doorless room with a fireplace and instructing them to poke fireplace until a fire breaks out. Placing a rug in front of the fireplace helps the fire spread faster. You don't an EP to set fire to a sim)

Using testingcheatsenabled true allows you to slide the need bars and you can just slide their hunger bar to completely empty (left/red). They immediately die of starvation.

If you use mods I reccommend Desecrate's Weapons mod. You can just shoot the sim dead. Quick, clean, deadly. I like it. (The animations are from starvation so the ghost will be starvation color).
It kills NPCs -- I tested it on the grim reaper.

You guys are very resourceful. LOL
I presume Desecrate's Weapon mod is the most popular for killing inactive Sims and NPCs, right?
Thank you all for listing your findings so far.

This isn't so much of a How-I-did rather than a thought, but I'm thinking if you had a Technophobic, Absent-Minded, Unlucky, Clumsy Loser, what the chances would be for death when compared to a Sim that was a bit more normalesque WITHOUT any intervention by us?

I thought of Absent-minded for the forgetfulness and Clumsy for simply being clumsy; I thought of some others but ditched them for parts of their traits that might increase their survival rate, such as a tendency to run away from scary situations from the Coward and being a Heavy Sleeper pointless if you're going to cause your own death. A Slobby Sim might be of help if you seek a fire death?

Maybe I should try out this theory.

Any Sims with the Unlucky or Loser traits can't actually die by anything other than Old Age. The Grim Reaper always brings them back if they die any other way.

::facepalms:: I keep forgetting that.
(Fallback measures, you've just got to love those... probably made to prevent Sim-abuse, too, when you think about it.)

In the end, I guess you can't force your Sims to die without using the queue or Buy/Build mode. Watch me think about locking the doors on the Sim(s) in question and then promptly be able to open them in case of fire. XD

(I'm not usually a Sim-killer, so I'm not as knowledgeable on this as most of you. XP; )

I've used the weapon system mod (from Desecrate). The program reports the victim starves to death. I created a "hit man" who gets money (cheat/kaching) for taking out pre-determined sims, and I tried a psychopath/"black widow" that would marry another sim, then shoot him/her, selling off their stuff and making money (neither game lasted more than a couple of hours). The shooter can get arrested.

One cheat way is to force age transitions. This doesn't seem to work for the NPCs and it takes multiple hits for the younger sims.

Now that I have depressed myself...

I take it there's no equivalent of Rodney's Death Creator from Sims 2? That is, you need a mod to kill Sims and can't just access a cheat via testingcheats?

Twallan's family career also has the ability to become a hitman. You do how-ever have to activate the skill by first witnessing a death that's not from old age, and when you get more skilled (it's actually a skill), you get access to more ways to kill sims.
