This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures
Default Effects are invisible? Help! {SOLVED!}
I just noticed recently that effects in my game are invisible! (No flames in the fire, even when on. If my sim steps over a tomb trap, the animation plays, but I can't see the darts/fire/etc. No music notes coming from the radio. Fireworks launch but I can't see them. ETC.)

I have the base game and WA, and I haven't downloaded any mods relating to the effects.
At first, I just left it the way it was, assuming that if I restarted, it'd be back to normal. But after many restarts, the effects still aren't showing up.

Help?

I'll bet you're using an outdated no censor blur hack, aren't you? Take it out, delete your cache files, and try again. You'll need to download an updated version that works with whatever your base game is patched up to (1.17 if you're fully updated).

I got rid of the no censor hack, deleted my cache files, but the effects are still invisible. Is there a certain type of cache file I have to delete?
