Default What's your favorite date night/group outing place?
I always seem to gravitate to Red's Famous 50's Diner for group outings and casual dinners out. It has almost everything: dancing, dining, games, photo booth, etc. and there always seems to be a lot of sims hanging out there.

For fancy dinners - surprise engagements, etc I always go to Londoste. Great atmosphere for that special night out.

What's your favorite place?

For outings and casual fun Sugar Cube Bowling; for late night clubbing Crypt O'Night; for surprise engagements and such Bernard's Botanical Dining (or whatever it's called) or Londoste. Lucky Shack or Rodney's Hideout for poker nights.

All of them have been modified to suit my needs, and of course I use my own community lots as well (like my teen hangout).

Agreed! Red's Famous 50's Diner is probably my favorite just because it's so compact.

I also like Londoste, Crypt O'Night Club and The Hub. Especially when I want to take good pics as I really like the atmosphere and colours in these places.

FM was also one of my favorites but this lot has the strange glitch that when I try to take photos, the camera flips below the freaking map =P. I really should re-build the lot some day.

For fun and dates, Speedy's Fast Lane Bowling or Crypt O' Night Club (bet Superman hates that name LOL).

For surprise engagements, Londoste or One-Twenty-Five Cafe.

I usually use the 50's diner as well. All of their needs can stay up and stuff there and it has nearly everything to fulfill date/outing wishes.

I like Red's Famous 50's diner or the skating rink for family/child outings, the bowling alleys for teens, Londoste for a nice couples dinner, and there's several places in Bluewater Village I like to go but I can't remember the names. Oh, and One Twenty Five cafe is one of my favorites also. I like taking families to the parks to fish on the weekends.

I have two separate groups for my Sims, a Family Fun Group and a Out on the Town Group composed of my founders friends, bff's and romantic partners. For family fun it is usually Speedy's Fast Lane Bowling, the Museum of Modern Art, or the roller/ice skating rinks. For romantic outings or partying with friends it is Crypt O Nightclub, Rodneys Card Shack, Londoste, or the maze

Crypt O Nightclub and Red's 50's Diner is great for dates. The Hub is great for groups. And Londoste and Bernard's Botantical Dining are my engagement places. There are a couple other places that I created myself and I use them often downtown: Iced Out - a teen/college student hang out place with ice skating, bowling, shopping, and a restaurant, and The Quicky Motel - a motel made just for one night stands (there's a bar attached).

There are a lot of great places. I like to go to the bowling alleys for dates and outings. Londoste is a great place for dates and engagements. For a meal with family and friends, Red's 50's Diner is popular.

I like to match the Downtown destination to the personality of the people on the date or outing. Teens and parents with children tend to end up at the bowling lanes, Carlos Contender (Belladonna Cove) likes Red's Famous 50s Diner, Cassandra Goth favors the Crypt o' Night, the Summerdreams like Bernard's Botanical Dining, and Malcolm Landgraab (Bluewater Village) and Consort Capp might go to Londoste. (Though one thing about Londoste: its huge central dining table seems to be the only table in town that will seat a party > 8, so many of my larger groups end up there when the maitre d' at other restaurants reject them.)

I like the Speedy's Fast Lanes for teens because it has food and bowling, unlike the other bowling alleys in Downtown. The first thing my Sims do on a date is have something to eat.

(I have noticed something when making Sims selectable. The state of your Sim's date's needs, if not in your household, are similar to when Sims first move in. I'd like to have it so their Bladder is completely in the green, instead of partly yellow, while on a date, it just makes sense!)

Yeah, it never made sense to me why the game changes the motives to be so negative. Especially if I have gone to a lot of trouble to get their motives up on the home lot, before they go to a community or business lot. I assume this is one of the aspects that reflects the programmers negative experiences on dates. Maybe their dates spent more time visiting the restroom than with them?

And why should their motives be so bad after moving? They don't have to move any of the furniture and they have no clue what the bills are like. No matter where they move in the neighborhood, they can keep all their friends. It is not like they are moving hundreds or thousands of miles away from their friends and loved ones. And there isn't a long car ride or airplane to worry about. No traffic accidents or anything. They just get to sit back and they are moved so they can continue on with their lives, or the outing/date.

I rarely use the pre-made lots for outings and dates. I remodeled all the pre-made lots in the pre-made hoods I play, so they are not the same at all. However, I just prefer the lots I make myself, so I play those instead. My sims have several dozen different places to visit when they go to community lots.

I like having variety in my game and would get very bored if I only had a couple of different places for my sims to go hang out. For instance, one of my subhood islands has one half for my residential lots for my CAS sims. The other half is totally comprised of community lots for my sims to enjoy. There are about two dozen houses and community lots. Then I have a business district subhood that has a little more than a dozen houses mixed in with about 4 or 5 dozen business lots. My University subhood, Sim State, I just deleted. But it had only about a dozen lots for my students. I figure they can always go to one of the main subhoods for entertainment. My new custom University I am planning on less than a dozen community lots.

But I have found that I could really spend a lot of time at my beach lots. All my beach lots have a variety of activities for my sims, in addition to the beach stuff. That pirate ship is more fun for me to enjoy on my community lots than it was on the vacation spot it was on. My custom business district has quite a few empty beach lots I look forward to building on.

It depends.

Teens- Red's Dining, Sim Bowl Lanes, Similar Sights Sculpture Park and all the parks.

Adults on first dates I may send them to FM, Sugar Cube, Lucky Shack,The Hub or Rodney's Hide out.

Second more serious date would be Bernard's Botanical Dining or One-Twenty-Five Cafe, especially One-Twenty-Five as the booths give sims a few more interactions.

For proposals I like to make it fancy with a dinner at Londoste or keep it sweet with a romantic walk in the park.

Can you tell me what are the extra interactions in the booths? I've never noticed them and my sims date regularly I am probably being totally oblivious but now I am curious dont want to miss out.
