I haven't personally tried this site out, but M&T Sims seems to have some good stuff. I found out about that site from My Sims 3 Blog, which is a great place to see new CC that comes out. It updates with new found stuff daily.

As well as M&T, there's various stuff here: Sims_3_Content_List:Historical_and_Ethnic#Japanesewiki

Tried it. But it listed a Russian website and required registration to download.

Sadly there is no Kimono and Sumurai armour at M&T that I can find. I can only read a little Chinese so I may miss it if there is one. There is a few traditional Chinese cloth but no Kimono The only Japanese traditional cloth look Korean and not what I am looking for

The AF kimono by Fortuna is also at TSR (The Sims Resource)

I think there's an AM kimono at M&T, but it doesn't show up, at least not in my game And there's an AF dress there that doesn't work for me, either, but it's morre Chinese, with a pleated skirt.

What I use, personally, is the hakamas by Prowler Tylo at http://ptanimeworld.blogspot.com/20...mi-hakamas.html
They work wondrously well and look great. :lovestruc

Thanks for the link but I got the Hakamas already. I am looking for a kimono and armour. The hakamas will work with my story if I can't find a set of armour.

Unless I am mistaken the Kimono in TSR required donation to download.

Yeah, it is pay, and unfortunately it's not on the booty.

I admit I know nothing about the proper uses of or names of asian clothing. Is a Kimono unisex? What's the difference between that and a yukata?

RESTORE LINK... Fortuna's kimono from RuSims & TSR
That link was in my post briefly at first, but I removed it until I double checked the forum rules.

ProwlerTylo also has this... http://ptanimeworld.blogspot.com/20...rt-kimonos.html

I've seen more while looking for anime outfits. I've gotta run them through Google translate, so this might take a while.

Not Japanese Kimonos, but someone searching later on might find them helpful... Four Chinese Dresses

I don't know what that stuff at M&T is. Wow. Its definately ornate.

OK. I'm exhausted my links, I could swaer I'd seen another site with asian clothing, but I must not have bookmarked it.

Thanks for your link

Yes a Yakata will work (a causal wear Kimono). Actually may work better if someone made one

But the Kimono on the anima link is really a Naruto uniform rather than a Kimono. Plus it is not a particular well mad eone

While it is not Janpanese, the armour look great. Sad that it is broken. At least for me, it won't show up on CAS. The hair don't work either.

Thanks for the shoe. It look interesting

Yeah, I get the same problem with the M&T stuff. I don't know what's going on with them lately; their stuff won't work. >_<

For me M&T's clothing sometimes doesn't show up in cas. However even if the outfit doesn't show up in cas it will show up just fine in game. So, their clothing does work even if something is apparently a miss in regards to cas.

I couldn't tell if it was the pics of the outfit itself that made it look a bit weird.

The yukata I had found turned out to be Sims 2, so it was a bust. I hate it when sites that have both TS2 & TS3 content don't label CC properly.

In regards to the AF Chinese dress (the one with the flowing pleated skirt) it shows up craaaazy in CAS, so I was just too afraid to use it and threw it out! But I was totally pi&&ed because their's an AM yukata there that doesn't show in CAS at ALL. It's just not under any category, at least not in my game. I redownloaded it as a Sims3pack instead, and the next time I'm tinkering around in CAS I figured I'd install it via the Launcher and see if I got it to show up that way.

I think the Yukata might need world adventures since it is basically a wa mesh with edits. I saw the crazyness with the AF Chinese dress, but once I brought the sim into game it worked fine. It would be nice if they could figure out these cas problems though

I am desperate so I download it and have a look. The Kunoichi uniform is no very well made. I look like a standard bathrobe with stuff drawn over it.

Strange I can't even find any Japanese base Sim fans site. Isn't Sim3 popular in Japan?

A Thai sim3 site look very cool but it is in Thai and required registration.

OOOHHH!!!! Crap; I thought that was a new mesh--they should label sh!t properly for people who don't have EPs; what the he!! Thanks so much for the tip; I was getting confused!

And about Thaithesims 3; everyone I talk to uses the Thai Virtual Keyboard (google) and they say it works like a charm. :lovestruc You're REALLY missing out if you don't register, though I think I'm registered with at LEAST 20 different TS3 sites; I've got CC coming out of my a--well, just a lot of CC! :p

Here's how desperate I've been in the past... I used google translate to get the characters for "sims, "download," and whatever third term I've needed (ie bleach, naruto, yukata, katana.) I plug that info into google search or the search box on one of the asian blogs. Now, I've been lucky a time or two and found CC that will work, but not very often. A lot of the time the links go to the Exchange on the EASims asian sites (which of course we can't see unless we register.)

When I don't end on at EASims, I usually end up directed to the Sims 3 creators we're already familiar with. HOWEVER, what I find amazing is this... the non-english CC creators, sims info pages/wiki's, and sims forums almost ALWAYS link back to MTS, TSR, MS3B, and a few other popular English sites. SOOOO, we're not the only ones floundering around on foreign language sites looking for good CC.

OMG that's the SAME thing I did! I tried to do a search for Sims 3 content in Japanese months & months ago, and other than stumbling across the blessed Thaithesims3 the only two sites I came across that specialize in Japanese creations are Sugichaco and my beloved Snake Legs at The 4th Impact :lovestruc ; whom I would be NOTHING without if it weren't for him/her! .

But I honestly think all the great stuff is being hidden away from us via that godawful accursed shyster-ridden hijacking elitist hoops and circle so-called free site we all lovingly call GAMESIR! Omfg I HATELOVE that site! Trust: that's where it's all hidden! >_< Simscave is GREAT for nabbing a few treasures from its deathgrip, but that site hoards it's crap better than Fort Knox! It's like the Chocopoints at SimControl; you can only get access to the dls by posting comments and being popular on the sit and running your trap. >_< I went through the most INSANE registering process at that crazy place, only to end up not being able to see a daggone thing they had to offer--WTF! F Gamesir!

Another one I've got my eye on is Blog-Naver. There's an awful lot of creators over there, and that other one, I forgot the name of it right now, but it's the Chinese equivalent blog to Korean Blog-naver--what's the name; Blog-Sina or something. Where Susan and LunaYue are! Whatever. Korean sites are great, too--when you can FIND them! EASims, Heiret's stuff at Blog-naver--awesome stuff, I agree

XMSims is great, but they are more China oriented. So is 5NPC, which has some of my favorite Chinese furniture sets. It's really similar to Yuyansims, but Yuyan is hard to dl from sometimes.

I am rather shocked, though, that more Japanese sites aren't dominating the field. Back in TS2 days you'd be beating them off with a stick! RESCUE US FROM CONTEMPORARY GARBAGE ALREADY, ASIAN CREATORS!!!!

How do you register with the Thai site? Do you speak Thai? I try Google translate but it won't do the whole page.

I can read a little Japanese and Chinese. But Thai and Korean are totally beyond me.
