Default At brave new world/free time option...
Hey everybody,

Ok, I've finally gotten to the free time/ brave new world options. And I was also told I unlocked some clothes. But I was curious if you can still advance your other heros through free time or do you just have to move somebody on to the next territory and other characters just stay on whatever level they were left at or what? Cause I have a few heroes that are on level 1 or 3 that I want to still move up in the current Kingdom. Can I do that or no? And do the quests switch up some what with each new territory that you achieve? I think I read once that they don't too much but I hope so as I totally just got 2 of my heroes married in this Kingdom but everybody else is free agents. And in my previous game before the furnish freeze I had the option to get married all the time. Quest though it was, still occurred much more frequently than with this current kingdom I have now. I mean heck I didn't even get my monarch married or anything.

Also what does it mean when a hero has chosen by watcher as an option when you click on them. Does it mean they will be the one to go onto be the next monarch of the new territory or just something to do with religion?

Once you've used all your quest points and finished and Ambition that kingdom gets "locked" at you can't really progress anymore, if you want to port your kingdom to the next Ambition or use Free Time to have your Heroes progress you have to do it while you still have quest points... Check here about going into Free Time in the middle of an Ambition.

And chosen by the Watcher doesn't do anything special, it's just a religious interaction, I think.

Dumb question but how do you know when you have gotten all your quest points? Like when all the quests run out or you keep hitting repetitive quests? And I haven't picked an ambition just yet as I just jumped into free mode. So it could still lock right after I pick the ambition?

You know you don't have any QP (quest points) left when you finish a quest and the game tells you you've finished the Ambition and that you're on Free Time, and your Kingdom has the medal for the Ambition you finished in the main menu (gold, platinum or whatever). That's when it "locks", even if you haven't chosen a new Ambition yet. Since the goal of the game is supposedly to finish and Ambition and start a new one with a new Kingdom each time, it considers finished Ambitions as closed and done with (yeah, I know, stupid). You can use one of your Heroes to start a new Kingdom elsewhere (or even start a new Kingdom with each of them) with the Brave New World quest, but that's about it.

You can check how many QP you have anytime by going in Kingdom mode and opening the Quest Book. You can also get more QP using the "setqp [number of points]" cheat (provided that you have "testing cheats" enabled), but once you've got down to zero QP this will only give you the option to do more quests, which you can unlock with the "showallquests" cheat, but these will give you no real progress, renown, or anything.

My advice: save a backup of your game while you still have 2 or 3 QP left, in case you want to port that Kingdom to the next Ambition (as explained here ), and make your Ambitions last longer by playing with Free Time in between quests as I mentioned in my previous post, which will also give your Heroes higher profession levels.

Oh ok that makes sense to me now. Now however I have another question. I'm ready to go on and have the builders and crew people and all that for my next monarch/former wizard. However when I click on the boat to find new lands the option is in red. I don't have a clue what I'm supposed to do now. Do I put something in the cargo or what? I mean I chose the ambition quest madness or whatever but does that mean I have to do something else before I leave or what?

If the option's red, it means you have a low chance of success. Try getting your Focus up

You may have to try a few times before you find someplace.

Thanks I got it now. Her hubris was up and she was rather *blinded* at the moment and couldn't be much good on her own voyage.
