Default Downloaded Sims not showing up in CAS
For some reason, all of the premade sims I've downloaded do not show up in the CAS catalog, both humans and pets. I've downloaded any and all custom content necessary, but even the ones that don't require anything new won't appear. I have all the patches, save 1.33 and all expansions/stuff packs except Showtime. As for mods, I have Twallan's Master Controller, but the problem occurred before I decided to download that. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

For your Sims if they are Sims3Pack files they should be placed in the Downloads Folder which is in "Electronic Arts /The Sims 3" Folder in your Documents. From that you then go to the Sims 3 launcher, go to Downloads click on what you want to install and click install.

-If they are .sims3pack files, did you place them in the Downloads folder and then install them via the Launcher?
-If they are .sim files, did you place them in the Saved Sims folder?
-Do you have two copies of the downloadedsims.index file? It still counts as a copy if it has a (2) [or otherwise] attached as the game will still read the file.

Good luck, and happy simming! :)

Regarding TrillianRikku's question, the best thing to do if you don't have a SavedSims folder is to make a random sim in CAS and save it to the sim bin. That'll create the folder. :)

My apologies, I had already gone through the custom content pages on the Wiki, but I will repost in the proper forum.

QueenJimmyIV, all of my downloaded sims are .sim files, but I do not seem to have the downloadedsims.index file at all. Perhaps you could PM me?

Actually, nevermind altogether. Discovered my error from a previous attempt to fix them not showing up. Sorry, but thank you to everyone who responded.
