Default Showtime hidden skills and the fun objects associated with them?
Hi everyone, I'm planning on customizing a lot of lots in an empty Custom world and showtime added many fun objects that seem to have hidden skills.

Building lots, testing and training a sim to max for each and every single one of these new fun objects seem time consuming and tedious soooo.... Anyone out there who have played the new objects and trained sims on those hidden skills and their uses?

The things I am interested in are:

The Pool tables: the trick shots that can be learned, chances of winning a game, the max number of sims that can participate, does the pool table have a means of earning money?

Dominoes: Does it earn money? Can you gamble with it?

Skeeball: What does it do other than leech money from your sim?

Golf: I am planning on creating a park that looks like a golf range for my snooty corporate honcho sim or a swank exclusive country club type of place complete with manicured golf courses. Possible? Do sims socialize while golfing? Can more than one sim play with one Golf item? What does the Golf skill do? Does it have means to earn money?

DJ booth: I tried it a few times, learned there was opportunities associated with it's hidden skill but I never went in depth with it. My friend said there's a romantic social that the hidden skill unlocks at the higher levels. Anyone with experience on the opportunities and the higher hidden skill levels? Do you unlock more genres? Can you earn tips? Is it portable?

The Bull ride and Dance sphere thing: not really curious about them, but would appreciate any info about anything unusual, funny or any info about the new fun items, these included.

Karaoke: I almost forgot about this. In one of my games, my sim did an amazing 'rockstar wall-bounce' leap of the karaoke machine while singing. If I remember correctly he had the daredevil and Natural born performer traits, which may be relevant. Anyone else experienced this, been able to replicate this or know anything else that may be associated with the Karaoke hidden skill?

If I missed out on any of the new fun items in showtime, please include them, I would like to find out more.

Thanks

DJ Booth: My sim did some DJing while he was a teen (he is a magician now) and the booth is portable, you can DJ for tips, and even if you don't people will give you (little) money if you put on the music they requested. You do unlock new style(s) (my sim unlocked Drum'nBass only, don't know if there's more) and you an have DJ gigs at venues on the stage. If you have skill and a booth in your pocket you can click a stage and choose "Set up Stage", put the DJ booth in the middle and decorate however you want, then play the gig. Both times I did this, I got a LOT of sims on the lot.

Dominoes: You can't play alone, playing raises Logic, loser gets a bad moodlet and winner a good one.

That's all I have for you.

Thanks for the info! Planning on having lots of live show venues just so I can eventually have a rebel teen sim moonlighting as a DJ.

Does hearsay and a few EA hints count? I've read that an upgraded Gyro thingie is a source of out of this world adventure and possibly a way to get the genie lamp.

And I have had the run up the speaker move on the karaoke machine -- with two different sims. Iirc one sim had daredevil, kleptomaniac, party animal, diva and I can remember the last trait, the other, I don't remember, but I believe they two had the party-animal trait. Not at home or I'd check.

Sure Periandre! Any info would be great, although I'd really like to see player accounts of what actually happened. EAxis would most definitely leave hanging clues to excite players and customers without revealing the big details.

Thanks for the info about the Karaoke machine! So The Amazing Karaoke Wall Jump might be triggered by the Daredevil trait? It's the one trait our sims have in common... Going to check if other traits like party animal trigger this...

I want to add that a magician sim can accidentally conjure the magician gnome while performing for tips. The animation that happened in my game was the 'Conjure objects' trick, only my performer did a 'oopsie, that was unexpected!' act when the magician gnome appears. He then appeared in my sims personal inventory. I think the magician has to learn the 'conjure object' trick for this to happen.

The Bull ride gives fun, increases the athletic skill and gives a 'conquered the bull' or something moodlet if your sim manages to stay on for the duration of the ride. I'm thinking that maybe a lot of the new fun objects give different kinds of positive moodlets when you win from them. Makes me think of making a carnival themed arcade/hangout where all these new objects are available just for the chances of getting multiple win moodlets: My sim teens wasting the family funds for the sake of getting a mood high in the carnival or arcades. Perfect

Also, the Dance sphere gyro thing? Daredevils seem to use it at the very highest speed possible.

The dance sphere can be turned into a portal to another world by a technically savvy Sim. A mini game ensues, with possible rewards.
