Default Horse Breeding...Tips?
I recently began to try horse breeding, though between taking care of them and my "farmhands" it has yet to happen.

What should I be doing to get the breeding in high gear?

Thank you for any tips or help!

Hmm, horse breeding is just as easy as sim breeding really. Get the horses to be best friends and there should be one Romantic option, Try For Foal. This needs a box stall, preferably in a very open space. The horses might cancel the interaction many times since they are big and interrupt each other and routefail a lot, but once they get inside the stall and do their thing the female horse is probably pregnant.

While she is pregnant the mare cannot be ridden. After the birth, a foal needs feeding from either its mother or a sim (adorable action with a giant baby bottle, try once even if mommy is around). When a foal grows up to bean adult horse, first thing you should do is to ride it until it gets rid of the Untrained trait.

And if you're doing it for profit, horses sell for more depending on the quality of traits. So if you feel like investing time and training the horse a bit, you can get more...or you can breed another and just sell them for the bare minimum. But at least get rid of untrained, it doesn't take long.

can you breed or keep horses at the training center?

You can breed them (you get money for breeding your stallion, or if you have a mare you get to choose the sire and the mare comes out pregnant) and keeping...no, not like you're asking. You can technically play your horse and make them hang out at the center, but they will still live on your lot and probably come home if you don't control them.
