This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Stuck on loading screen
I've got all EPs and SPs, and my game suddenly will not load. I installed Showtime last, so that's the loading screen I get stuck on. And by loading screen, I mean the loading screen you get before you can choose any of your saves to play. The mouse continues to spin, but no matter how long it sits, the game just doesn't load. I don't get music either.

I'm not entirely sure what could cause this, or how to fix it.

Have you gone through the game problem FAQ? If so, what were the results? And if not, please do so.

I have gone through the FAQ. Taking out my entire mods folder gets the game to load. I don't have anything that's corrupt, so I don't know what could be causing the issue. My computer is fully capable of playing this this game as well. I mean, one day it was playing just fine, I saved and quit, and then the next day, it just refuses to load.

Go through the Finding Problem Custom Content FAQ to figure out which piece of CC is causing issues.

Without seeing your specs, I can't say if your computer should be able to run the sims 3, but being able to run it one day doesn't mean it'll always run. If you have a computer that doesn't meet the specs, then playing can damage your computer until one day it won't run anymore. Check out Your computer is like a car if you want more information on that.

Also, I've been doing other searching on and off MTS and it looks like AM can cause this. I took out only my game mods folder that had hacks and such installed (I've got my folders organized just like MTS has content organized here, so all my modifications are in a separate folder, and also organized by categories within that folder.) So taking that folder out, the game loaded fine. I have yet to test it to see if it's only AM, but I'm assuming it is. I've redownloaded it, but it refused to load still, and some threads on the AM forums are talking about framework fail, so at this current moment, I'm seeing if that's an issue by replacing it.
Would you be able to tell me if my resource.cfg file is wrong? The information in it is:

Could that suddenly be wrong?

Edit
I also put the d3dx9_31.dll file in the game/bin directories of all my game EPs and SPs, but I'm going to see about only having it in the base game bin folder.
----
The .dll isn't any help at all. Whether it exists or not in any bin folders doesn't matter.

Another edit
This problem is associated directly with AM. But I have done what's listed in their forums. I'm afraid asking for help there will cause me to be flamed for stupidity and "snowflakery." Is there any way I can still receive help? I'm going to try downloading and reinstalling the mod, so hopefully I can get it to work, but if I can continue to be helped until the issue is fixed, I will be very appreciative.

One last edit
I backed up my Sims 3 folder and then deleted it from my documents to run a vanilla game. After that, I tested it, and it ran beautifully. I miss the short loading times and no lag at all. Anywho, I moved my Mods folder into the newly generated Sims 3 folder (with AM in it) and ran the game. It loaded just fine, so I tested it on a bin family. No problems. I'm now reinstalling all my sims3packs, which takes a while as I've got nearly 13 thousand files. o.0 I had read somewhere where a person had a different problem and someone told them to delete their DCbackup files to "uninstall" sims3packs. So, I took all those files and put them in the new Sims 3 file, and none of those downloads showed up in my game. So, what exactly are those files?
But alas, I think I've fixed my issue just by deleting the Sims 3 folder and loading the game to create a new one. After all the sims3packs finally install (it's nearly at 50% now), I'll move my saved sims back in, load and test, and then my saved games. If it refuses to load after that, then I'll delete the saves and start a fresh new world. If that doesn't work, I'll uninstall, clear the files out of my registry, and reinstall.
I thank you for the help!

Yes, it -should- make no difference where you put the dll file from the old way of using CC. In fact, deleting the file is preferable if you are having trouble with your game. That is the file that pries open the game files so that new packages can be added. Now that the game is designed to read a Mods folder in My Documents, the "shoehorn" is not needed, and can possibly cause trouble.

DCBackup only holds installed sims3packs in .package format and it's main pupose is to add installed cc to sims/lots when you export as sims3pack, so putting files back there won't give you items back in game.
The folder that holds installed sims3packs is DCCache, except for lots/sims/worlds they go in other folders.

Yea, I deleted the .dll folder. I don't see a point in it.

@Belzader ; So... this might be a stupid question, but, if I moved all those .package files into my mods folder, would they essentially be installed then? That way I wouldn't have to install through the launcher?

However, after making the game vanilla, and moving my mods folder back in and testing (which ran smoothly), I installed all my sims3packs, and well, I'm stuck on the loading screen again. This is super annoying. So I haven't figured out where the culprit is like I thought I had. I must have a faulty sims3pack somewhere.

Edit
It seems that Awesomemod really is the culprit. But searching through their forum isn't giving me any ideas on what to do. I saw where putting the .dll back in the bin folders helped, but it did nothing for me. I've replaced my framework, redownloaded the AM file and reinstalled it, redid the config file, everything I could find on their site I did. But nothing's working. And anyone who asks for help gets yelled at and insulted. Cn anyone here help me troubleshoot this so I can continue to use AM?

But also, in mean time, I'm going to post in the WCIF thread for some mods that will replace some of the things AM does. Because the game honestly sucks without it. This will be my temporary fix until I can figure out how to get AM working again.

They will proberly show up in game, if you put them in the mods folder (i read that some have done that) but if there are many you proberly will get lag from doing it (to many package-files is known to cause that).
It proberly isn't a issue with AM, since it run fine before you installed any simspacks.
You can try Clean Up Sims3Packs Today! Also raises dead? and check all your sims3packs, read the comments though there is an updated version, which gives more info about items that are attached to sims

You can also try merging your package CC if you want to put the DCBackup into your Mods folder. (Be very sure to keep copies of the originals, and test each merged package after making it. Letting Delphy's Dashboard look at it is also a good idea.)

Belzader ; I've tested the game with only sims3packs installed, and I didn't get the issue. I was wrong in thinking that I had a faulty sims3pack. It's got to be AM or something I'm missing. I test the game with only sims3packs, then I test with only my Mods folder (without AM), and then I test with sims3packs and the Mod folder (still without AM), and each time the game is fine. It loads right up. But as soon as I put AM back in, it doesn't want to load.

Ghost sdoj ; I don't think I'll do that. Only because I don't want to create more lag in the game.

Seems like you have done most of the testing i can think of already, maybe a mod conflict with AM, or that it needs to be updated, if you look on there forum there is an auto updater somewhere, which make the process to update it easier and i think that using it you can get updates more frequently then they get posted on the website.
Also like Ghost sdoj wrote checking mods with Delphy's Dashboard might tell you if there is a mod conflict.

Yea, I'm going to do more testing, but for now, I'm good with the extra game mods I just downloaded. I just really want to play. I've been testing a game and everything's going smooth as far as game play goes, but nearly all of my sims3packs are not showing up in buy mode. So I have to nip that in the butt. I wonder if it's because I installed all 15k files in one go. Took a long time, but maybe that wasn't such a good idea. Who knows. Once I get that all figured out, I'll move my saved games back in.

Generally installing all sims3pack in one go is a very bad idea as the file/s in DCCache will be very large and game can't handle it very well then, it's recommended to install in 200-250MB batches as that seems to be the limit for what game can handle.
There is an exception though installing worlds, lots & sims is somewhat excluded from the above as they in there own folders but since many sims & lots have cc with them which will be put in DCCache, it's safer do to the above for all sims3packs.

Yes, i know having to this is a real pain, i resently had to reinstall all my sims3packs due to corrupted items on sims i had d/l'ed and i have about 5GB sims3packs..

I was wondering if that might have been the reason why they're not showing up. Good thing I kept the files. I will definitely install them in small batches now.
