Default Another way to increase logic skill.
I am FED UP of having to buy either a chessboard or telescope for every house I build. These items are just so annoyingly overly specific; you would never see them if you visited someone's house in real life. Is there any custom item that increases logic skill? Even a Study > Logic option from the bookcase would do.

Thanks!

the reward bookcase from the education career allows your sims to study anything. just use the unlockcareerrewards cheat to get it

If you have Seasons, there's the Education career reward bookcase from which any standard skill can be learned.

The crossword puzzle in the newspaper builds logic too, but sims finish them so quickly, that's not a very practical method beyond the first couple skill points.

There's also this: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=293562
I'm not a big fan of it, though. As far as I know, sims learn skill points instantly with this book, and if I wanted that, I'd just click/drag skill points up myself with debug mode. Too cheaty for my taste. The Book of Talent also doesn't satisfy skilling wants, I don't think.

So anyway, not much help here. One thing to consider would be having only sims who need logic skill for their careers bother with it and just put up with telescopes and chess boards for them. Too, look on the bright side with the chess boards. They're great for friendship-building as well as logic skilling!

Thanks katreina, I am aware of the career reward bookcase, but I'm not a cheater. I just want something to use in the meantime until I've unlocked it legitimately.

And thank you too Darby, I'll download that book and give it a try. If it is instant, I suppose I can just send my sims off to Games of Glory and use the chessboard there. :p

I think Monique's hacked computer teaches all skills too. Some other objects would be good, but apart from toddler toys I've never found any.

Monique has a global mod that adds all skills to bookcases. It was last updated for OFB, but I think there is one updated to AL at MATY.

Or just go for the really slow and free option. The newspaper. Nobody would call you a cheater
