Default The Sims Medieval Intro & Splash Screen (Pirates & Nobles)
Hi, is there anyway to restore the intro and splash screen to the stock ones instead of the Pirates & Nobles?

I know this is possible due to a mod exactly like that for The Sims 3
Unfortunately I don't know how to do that so if somebody could make or atleast give a detailed instruction as to how, I would be very much appreciative!

I don't know how to help but just out of curiosity, why do you want the regular one back?

Cause I rather have Patrick Stalwart instead of a cheap trailer as a intro, and artworks for the splash screen instead of lame cheap screenshots.

Definitely with you on this one, I miss the old splash screen too. Imagine replacing Patrick Stewart with that crappy low res video, what were they thinking :O

Lol I know, why did they have to replace it? The Sims 3 intro remains the same :\

Anyway somebody gotta know <
Wish the guy who made that mod for TS3 could tell us how.

The movies must be in the package files in the Game Data/Shared/Packages folders. Since Pirates and Nobles installs in its own folder, I do not expect that it overwrites anything in the Medieval folders... sooo.. all someone should have to do is find the two movies, rename the one in the Medieval folder to match the name of the one in the Pirates and Nobles folder.. replace the new one in the package (Pirates and Nobles) with the old one renamed from its package (Medieval) and presto.. the old movie would run. Since I no longer can use any of the tools which mod this game (the net4 thing that ChickieTeeta mentioned in another thread is probably the cause since it was windows update that did me in) it is not possible for me to try doing this but I am sure someone else can.

I have this original intro vid available here now http://simsasylum.com/tfm/index.php...estored-for-pn/

The entire video is inside the mod, so it's around 22 MB. It's also required to register at the site to view and download stuff.

Just watched it through, awesome.
Still can't believe EA replaced this vid. If ever there was a moment for 9gag's 'Patrick Stewart's "wtf is this sh**"' pic, it would be at that odd decision.
I know I said thanks at your forum, but thank you again, much appreciated =D

I love the original game intro as it was well nice to see that it was not acturally showing the sims doing stuff instead telling you the game history. I hated the intro for Pirates and nobles as it was the trailer for it.

I am glad that their is away to get rid of it.
