I find it very irksome that you can only have gravestones outside and urns inside, and can't toggle it or change it in any way.

I'm doing a Legacy family, and even though it's a 64 x 64 lot, there's still no room for a big graveyard outside... I want to make a spooky crypt with all of the graves underground, but I want actual stones, or something that really makes it look like a crypt; no little urns everywhere, because they look tacky, can get smashed, etc.

I've seen actual gravestones inside of EA's tombs, but I can't figure out how to do it myself. Both "real" graves, and the decorative ones in BuyDebug always seem to turn into urns when placed indoors and I can't seem to change them.

Can anyone suggest any workarounds?

EA has a special flag that you can set when using urnstones in rooms designated as "tombs".

The interaction is one of the ones that appear when you Ctrl-Shift-Click on the object while in Buy/Build mode.

However, the flag is ignored if the urnstone is *not* in a "tomb room", so you will need to place a Tomb Room Marker object in order to make it work.

Just one word of caution: ghosts that spawn in a tomb room cannot leave it and they also seem to be unable to return into their graves, so they're kind of trapped.

Poor ghosts They can't cross-over.

You can also buy tombstones and urns by putting in the buydebug cheat. I'm not sure if the tombstones change into urns once inside though. ^^;
