Default Eternal Winter Challenge
Hi, all! This is my first challenge, so I hope it's fun for everyone. You'll need Sims 3 Seasons expansion to play. Also, if you have an tips or suggestions on how to improve this challenge, please feel free to post below! Also, if anyone tries this, let me know!

Since the age of dawn, Sims can only remember one season: winter. Cold and desolate, but many have grown complacent and fond of it. However, the stirring inside of YOUR Sim hums a different tune - your founder knows there exists the fabled green trees and blue lakes of lore. And your found is determined to find it.

Rules
  • No money cheats
  • No moodlet cheats
  • Set the weather to winter ONLY. You will need to complete challenges to unlock each season.
  • You can only unlock one season per generation, but you can have multiple generations unlock one season. Only heir Sims and their spouses may fulfill the skill and career requirements.
  • You can play non-heir Sims, but their skills and careers do not count towards the requirements. Non-heir Sims can have any traits
  • You can make the seasons last as long as you want, as long as each of them last the same number of days (ex, winter, spring, and summer all last 15 days, but you cannot make winter last 3 days and spring last 7 days)

Unlocking Spring
  • Make your founder YA in CAS. It can be either gender. However, it must be Grumpy and Hates the Outdoors - I would be too if it was forever winter! You choose the other traits. Move them in anywhere, however, your house must include a fireplace - it gets MUCH too cold without one!
  • You can only meet people at your work or the internet, including your spouse. You cannot even meet people through Opportunities - it's too cold and everyone is bundled up inside their house!
  • Once you get the Chilly moodlet, you must head indoors. Your health and safety is of the utmost priority.
  • Once your founder reaches the top of the Music, Culinary, Film, or any of the Showtime careers, you unlock Spring. The music breaks the ice and fills the world with springtime joy!

Unlocking Summer
  • Your heir Sim must be Flirt and a Great Kisser - your heir can feel the romance in the crisp spring air. You can choose the other traits.
  • Your heir MUST befriend anyone they find Attractive (will get a moodlet and message) or have compatible signs with the day they meet them. You can still be friends with people who are not attractive or have compatible signs.
  • Your heir may have children out of wedlock, but in order to move in a spouse, your heir and the spouse in question must be attracted to each other AND have compatible signs. Your Sim is very superstitious and won't commit unless the stars are in line.
  • You unlock summer when you reach the top of the Science or Medicine careers (they found the recipe for sunblock) and have 10 Charisma and 10 Painting or Sculpting or Photography. The art of spring instills a fiery passion everyone and summer is unlocked!

Unlocking Fall
  • Your heir Sim has become complacent of the weather, never having experienced the harsh winter, is now a Couch Potato.
  • Because of the nice weather, you never eat food cooked in a microwave or stove. It's too hot to be in the kitchen! You can still eat no-cook recipes and grilled food.
  • Because winter is all fun and games to your heir Sim, you must fulfill all of the winter activity wants for them (make a snow angel, build an igloo, go snowboarding, etc)
  • People heard of your town's wonderful weather and started moving there, increasing the population. You need to reach the top of the Business, Journalism, Politics, or Education career to educate these new neighbors.
  • However, with the increase of population, there is also an increase of crime. You need to reach the top of the Military, Firefighter, Law, or Criminal career as well.
  • You also need to have 10 skill points in Gardening, Fishing, and Athletic - summer is the perfect time to get these up!

Challenge ends when you've unlocked Fall - congratulations! You turned your desolate wasteland of a town into a blooming center of prosperity!

Hope you enjoy!

Sounds like an interesting concept, but I have a few questions.

Summer:
If I understand this correctly, you lose if a sim wanders off(to work or because it's curfew) and you haven't befriended them. Is this actually an insta-lose condition, or is there an allowance for that?

Fall:
If you have winter wants locked in all slots and you roll another, and it expires, does that count as a loss?
You have two career toppings and a skill mastery listed. Do those three have to be fulfilled by the same sim?

Thanks Nick!

Thanks for your interest Tigger! Sorry for the confusion - I hadn't really thought about the curfew! You don't have to befriend them the first time you meet them, just over the course of your Sim's life. Of course, it's easier to keep track of who you're attracted to and befriend them the first day. If you can't do that, just be sure to do it some time during your Sim's life!

As for the winter wants, I would say, yes it would count as a loss if you don't complete the action. I think the activities are fast enough to complete that you should be able to do them. I'm playing through this a second time because I lost the first time because I didn't get my Sim to do 20 tricks on the snowboarding ramp before winter ended (Oops! Tip for that: buy a snowboarding ramp before winter ends!) As for any of the seasons, you can have your Sim and their spouse fulfill the requirements and you can even have a different generation complete it. The first time playing through, I had to do the Summer requirements in two different generations.

I hope you have fun, Tigger! I'd definitely love to see pictures if you choose to take them.
