This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Deleting BG and EP world's object caches - Good or bad?
I realized that the default replacement skins or eyes don't seem to show up on the already spawned townies anymore (even if the CASPartCache, compositorCache, simCompositorCache would be deleted) If a townie is taken to CAS the defaults show but in gameplay the townies remain with maxis defaults.

After some testing I noticed that if I play in a Store world or in a Custom world the defaults do show on townies regularly.

So this means the defaults don't work properly in Base game world or Expansion pack worlds.

Therefore I went and deleted the object caches from the main game folders, such as: Sunset Valley.objectCache, Sims University.objectCache, Moonlight Falls.objectCache. (I did make backup copy of them though)

Anyway, now when I load one of those worlds the default replacement skins and eyes show on every single townie.

So I wonder, is it bad to delete those files? And will those cache files spawn back anymore? Because so far they haven't, unless it takes longer game play than 5 minutes. I just don't see any other method to fix the defaults-not-showing-issue

They do respawn, and it's safe to delete those files on Windows (but not on Mac, for any roving Mac users).

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.
