Default Mods that modify free will and autonomous actions
Over the past few months that I've been active here, I've seen a lot of talk about free will or not, and arguments from both sides. A lot of people mention modding out annoying autonomous behaviors, to make it less ridiculous.

I was thinking, what if we make a collection thread that has links to mods related to modifying free will or autonomous actions? Perhaps it already exists and I'm not aware of it, but I'd love to have a place where all of it is thrown together. I found the thread about which defaults people use extremely helpful when looking at defaults, and that gave me the idea to make a similar one but for autonomous action mods.

Now, let's be clear. I don't mean a generic useful mods kind of thread, I mean mods that target making free will make more sense, or removing annoying autonomous actions. What do you think? If it seems like a good idea, perhaps we can all go through our mods folders and share what we have, and put together a list here.

I like this idea! :-) I'm a big fan of free will, and I try to play my sims according to their wants, fears, autonomous actions and ACR's risky woohoo, but I do use a few mods to get rid of certain autonomous actions. It's generally just the ones that really really annoy me, like the talking through teddy bears thing that sims do (Cyjon, Twojeffs) and sims autonomously reading to toddlers/children and toddlers/children autonomously asking to be read to (BoilingOil). And a whole bunch more! I'll have a look through my Downloads folder later and share some more links :-)

The Content List:Main Pagewiki would be the perfect place for this. Unfortunately, Delphy is still working on fixing the new user registrations, so if you don't already have a wiki account you won't be able to add stuff. If that's the case, I'd suggest making a big thread in the WCIF forum - that's how the content lists originally started out, in fact.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Good plan, good plan :-) I have a wiki account, so I'd be happy to add some links onto there, collected from a thread in the WCIF forum. Want to go start a thread there, gummilutt, seeing as it was your idea!? :-)

I wanted to contribute to the wiki once upon a time, but then I could not figure out how anything worked, so I abandoned it. I should have an account though, somewhere so if someone can explain how I create a new page, then I can do so. Might be easier if someone who knows what they are doing does it though.

I was torn if it should go for WCIF or here, but I figured the goal of the thread was more related to game play, than finding specific items, so I thought it belonged here.

A wiki article is definitely a good idea, but I feel like moving thread to WCIF would mean less people see it and help out. I don't read WCIF on a regular basis, don't know about the rest of people. But it is up to whiterider and the other mods if they feel it belongs there

I have Autonomy Control from MATY, which allows me to turn individual Sim free will off (I have it on by default, but the neighbourhood storyline requires some Sims to temporarily lose free will, and sometimes egregious Sim stupidity gets on my nerves). There's also Beck's Autonomous Trash Compactor, No Autonomous Smell Flowers and CJ's Pool Ladder Autonomy. I can't find my other autonomy/free will mods, but that's because they're probably called someting non-obvious due to being rolled into larger mods.
