Default The NPC's in Sims 2 doesn't work? Anybody who can help me with this problem? *Solved*
Hi!
First of I have to say that I'm very new user on MT2, Im not native English speker and never asked questions on a forum before, so please don't bash me right away if I broke any rules (I read the rules) regarding this thread. I get missunderstood very easily and just wanted to warn people about that (and I don't know how strict people are sims 2 forums).

Its about the download section. I have been trying to figure out what to do about this issue.
When I played to the game, for some reason my npc's (newspaper boy) started to crash and get the Error warning and I couldnt delete them without using "force errors" boolprop hack. I've read everything about Custom Content and read the requirements of each download mod/object so I wondering:

Does anybody ever had this experience with the MT2 downloads, like do you know any mods/objects on here that comflict with the npc's, in this case the newspaper boy?
(PS: This question has nothing to do about "where to find". Im just asking if any user on here who had this problem and know if there are any mods that conflicts with the npcs.).
For references, Ive all the EX and stuff packs and most of my mods/hacks are from here. The other mods Im using I know they are working because Ive been using before without any problem!

Thanks in Advance if anybody know! (and understoood me for that matter... Im Swedish.)

You asked in the right place and your English is fine. Welcome to MTS.

Now to your question I don't know of any cc from here that causes the paper boy/girl to crash. If it did it would be reported to the creator and they would have to fix it. Any piece of cc can become corrupted, it could be as simple as the hair, eyes or skin that particular NPC is wearing. Also sometimes mods can work fine by them self but clash when put together. Sometimes the answer is as simple as changing their load order by adding a couple of zz to the beginning of the file name.

Have you pulled your cc and gone through the help steps? If I have trouble I always pull my hack folder first and then after that do a 50/50.

Well, Ive read the help sections a few times and understood how it works, but never payed much attention to do the steps, because I never thought I "needed" it. I always end up deleting the neighborhood Im working on and start over again so its because of lazyness.
I've been categorize the download and sorted everything after the CC function (career, objects, body shop etc or the name of the creator) and deleted the winzips one map time the time carefully so thats where I got confused why the NPC become corrupted.

Regarding the CC, The newspaper boy don't have any specific CC other than default replacements on skintone and eyes which I only have downloaded one per template/face/eye/skintone etc area of (which had good rating) which are: Katuchan face template default replacements, Zol Solar eyes Gen+Town default + townie replacements, Darkwolf Skintone default replacements and a few NO visible skin on vampires and that can of "No mods".
Also downloaded a couple of themed CC on here related to Relgious and Medival/Farmer/Royal/Victorian themes that are not hacked objects, but I don't know if they are related to the NPC's because what I know, npc's can't use them (like for example clothing, crowns etc) and building/object CC, because Ive never seen a npc with this type of CC . All from MTS. (Does CC that only used for playable sims like for example downloaded wall painting or teleporter mods effect the npc's?)
Thats the only clue Ive. :S

Pulling all your cc including any lurking in your saved sims folder and playing in a test hood is the only way to know for sure if it's your cc. If it is then you know you need to find it and if it isn't then you can move onto other possibilities.

I found the problem! It was apparantly either the saved sims or a object/bodyshape item I downloaded (downloaded bunch of royal themes. I maybe forgot a mesh or something?) because after I removed the download folder and placed it on the deskop, I ran the sims2, created a new hood + a family and then exit the game. I deleted the royal themed folder + saved sims and then moved it back to the documents and then the family, the paper boys come and I didnt got any error anymore. Strange.

Leaving out a mesh should just give you a blue flashing object, but cc can just be corrupt for unknown reasons. It could have happened during download and installation. I had a set of shirts from a blog I have downloaded from before and for some reason they crashed my game so I removed them. It pays sometimes to sort by date and remove just the latest items.

Glad you got it sorted.
