Default NEED HELP FIXING SIM 3 LAG/FREEZING WHEN ZOOM OUT/ PANING help me
Hi first of I'd'd like to say I'm new to these forums sites and I don't really know where to look for help.

Here's my problem, when I zoom in and out of the Sims 3 ( All expansions installed, all stuff packs ) with my mouse scroll I get a lag/ stutter/ loss of allot of frames per second.
This problem also happens when I pan the screen ( page stuttering/ ( loss off frames ) like for a constant fps to some where around 5-12 I'm not sure haven't monitored with a fps capture programs but I can see the fps drops..

I've got 32gb ram( 2133Mhz ) with all very low dram timings which I have made a ram disk and I launch sims 3 in there to get read write speeds of 8-10gbs so I know the harddrive loading speed isn't the problem.
MY cpu= Intel i7 2700k has been over clocked to 5.7Ghz with water cooling and a portable air-conditioning window unit to the case.
My graphic card is a Gtx 780 2722GB-10255GB Memory also has been over clocked and one of the recommended cards for playing sims with all the expansions with no problems all marked yes.
My computer temperatures are very cool when playing games under very high load and the computer is very well looked after and maintained.

As you can see my computer specs couldn't possibly be the problem as I play skyrim with over 170 mods for realism and high texture packs/ battlefield 3 and 4 highest graphics possible/ Crysis 3 max with 120-140 fps at 1920x1080 res, max antilizing

I have no mods in the sims installed.
It was lagging on my SSD crucial harddrive, so I tried to switch to a ram disk, loading speeds increased although the lag when panning/ zoom did not change.

I have come to the conclusion that it has something to do with the games coding or games files, what I mean by that is; maybe the game has a set bandwidth limit for your graphics card when you move the mouse it has to load all the objects or lots or something.
Another theory.. Maybe it uses your cpu to load the objects instead of your gpu in game?

I wonder if you can edit a config file in the game some where and set things to make it higher?

Has anybody had this problem?
my computer is one of the top notch computers for gaming, can some one with ideas please help me to get this to work lag-free?
I mean it is playable.. just annoying to have a gaming computer that lags on the Sims3 LOL.
Solutions would be good.

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely Zeonx

As an aside... TS3 is just kind of a poorly optimized game. Even with a screaming amazing system like yours - or like mine, which is just a little less powerful than yours but still FAR more powerful than any computer playing TS3 should have to be - there are still times that the game will be a little bit juttery. Sometimes scrolling is a bit choppy or seems to freeze for a second, textures may take a few seconds to finish loading, you may see the lower-detail sim/pet meshes for a few seconds before it gives you the full-detail ones, loading items in CAS takes a while, etc... It's not really clear from the text of your post whether these are serious major freezes or juttering, lasting more than a couple seconds, or just not perfect performance (which is, as far as I can tell, impossible with TS3). If it's the former, it's probably an actual issue and fixable. If it's the latter, well, that's just the way it is.
