And there's also a post from 4 years ago, that you probably should have looked at first.

Oh, come on guys. It's nice to see a little excitement in a new player to the series.

And Lara if you type the word "help" (without the quotation marks) in the testingcheatsenabled box, you'll get a list of all the commands you can use, albeit without much explanation about what some of them really do. In which case, Butch's link might be a great supplement to bookmark.

thank you for both of your comments, but neither of these list the full functionality of tce, so.. i would like to see some other responses besides, oh look here or there.. most sites go over the obvious.
im looking for the functionalities that aren't that obvious, the ones you discover you acn do by accident.. lol per example

did you know that if you press ctrl go to the ltr panel and click on the right side of the number amount right by the treasure chest; each click is worth 500 lifetime happiness points?

note that tce must be entered at the main menu for this to work

i know this, about typing "help". thank you but i am not a new player, i have been playing since the sims 1 when i was a child, and yes there is almost no explanation as to all the capabilities of the tce cheat.

and its not about all the different cheats i can use, its about the functionality of the testingcheatsenabled true cheat specifically

Well, I apologize for suggesting you were a new player, especially if you've been at this since TS1 as a child. While my experience with TS1 came about when it was first released as well, alas I was an adult by that time, so my learning curve may have been adversely affected by that disability for mastering computer games.

I will admit that some functions of TCE are quite indispensable, especially such commands as moveobjects, CFE, and offsetterrain when building stuff, and perhaps influenced by some laziness on my part, but I find Swiss Army tools like MasterController far easier to use for mundane tasks as adding LTR points to my sim. Rather than repeatedly clicking for 500 points at a time, I can simply go to MC/Intermediate/Lifetime rewards, and using my keyboard, or, if I'm feeling especially slothfully lazy, my keyboard's keypad (with num lock enabled, of course) and just type the number of damned points in I want my sim to have for whatever LTR(s) I feel the need to "cheat" to purchase for them. Not as much fun as obsessively clicking away for 500 points a click, but less wear and tear on my poor, abused mouse.

You did forget to mention the "undocumented" by help cheat TCE does provide, the ability to directly manipulate your sim's motive bars, allowing you to avoid a bathroom run while in the middle of a some seduction scenario you're deep in the midst of. And, with MasterController, using Intermediate/max motives, on the target of your seductive endeavor, you can keep them from running off halfway through to use the can or grab a corn dog because they're passing out from hunger. Again, just an example of the proper tool employed at the proper time.

Still, if you would like to add to the wiki whatever knowledge you have that the rest of us common folk haven't found out about with TCE, please do so to the benefit of our community.

Almost forgot, you do know about the cool stuff you can also do when you shift click on the mailbox now too, don't you?

TS2 and TS3: Where adult sims potty train their toddlers.
TS4: Where adult sims make Angry Poops.

TCE can be used to unlock other cheats, such as enableLotLocking, or drag a Sim's motives, or shift+click interactions on objects.

The TCE cheat isn't as powerful as it was in The Sims 2. It's pretty much limited IMO.

Honestly ... I've played with TCE on for so long, I don't know what are cheats and what are game features anymore.
