This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Wizard of SimPE's check problem - The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.
Hello! That's me, Titi.

I'm here today, because I would really like to make recolours with "Wizard of SimPE" from some SPs, and some EPs, but I don't arrive to make the folder's directory work, in SimPE.
I've already found the UC folder in "Origin Games", but when I do a check, it doesn't find "The Sims 2", I'm kinda lost right now. I hope you'll try to help me.

Bye bye guys! I hope you will answer, I really need your help.

I'm having a similar problem with the UC but not quite the same one.
For me, it automatically recognized the base game (which for me was C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base) and the program fully works, but it can only integrate base-game objects and I would like to edit some of the objects from the expansions.
Try finding the path I posted above and see if that works, but I'm not sure how to load objects from the expansions and I think it might help us both to find out how to do that.
Hope that helps!

(on another note, I'm happy I'm not the only one who's regained an interest in the sims 2 since they released the Ultimate Collection, I was worried all of these forums would be abandoned [and many are!] but there are many forums suddenly showing activity again since the resurgence of new players, so I know that I might not be completely lost on trying to get help with custom content!)

EDIT: I believe I'm getting closer the solution to my problem as well. The program searches for the folder "TSData" within the selected directory, so in order to edit items from the expansions you can select any of the folders that contains the folder "TSData" to find the object you want to recolor. However, I am unsure which of these to choose from, as I have tried a few and any that aren't the base game folder give me a message of "Sorry, the object you selected cannot be recolored (yet)." We'll see if I can figure this out. I can't seem to find a guide anywhere, so it seems we're on our own.
Hopefully somebody else can help us out with editing custom meshes, as well.

Alright, got it.

The issue has to do with the paths SimPE (not Wizards of SimPE) uses to detect expansion packs clashing with games installed from origin. I've had the same issues with SimPE trying to detect Nightlife correctly in order to edit some of the data there.
You can go here to download a patch for SimPE, as well as read more into the problem and how to fix it.
However, the file uploaded is not complete for some reason, and you will still need to manually fix the paths. I recommended you still download the file and install it, as it sets all of the directories to "C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection"
While this is not the correct directory, it will make fixing the paths much easier because you don't have to search through and find the Ultimate Collection folder yourself every time, it will already be open.
The paths need to be set as followed:

Base Game C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base

Expansions Packs
University \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\University Life\EP1
Night Life \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\EP2
Open for Business \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\EP3
Pets \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\EP4
Seasons \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Seasons
Bon Voyage \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Bon Voyage
Free Time \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Free Time
Apartment Life \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Apartment Life

Stuff Packs
Family Fun \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP1
Glamour \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Glamour Life Stuff
Celebration \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\SP4
H&M Fashion \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\SP5
Teen Style \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\University Life\SP6
Kitchen and Bath \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\SP7
IKEA Home \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\University Life\SP8
Mansion and Garden \Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9

*"Program Files" my need to be changed to "Program Files (x86)

Once you have done this, open Wizards of SimPE and go to the options tab. Again set the "System Folder" directory to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base"

The System Checker will still fail, but ignore this. If there is a problem, the program will alert you when it's relevant. This should fix everything. Good luck!

Ok, it worked! Thank you! But, Ikea Home Stuff doesn't seem to appear, all the objects are in the Wizards of SimPE but no Ikea ones.

It sounds like there's a typo in the IKEA path, or maybe the IKEA box in the same page of SimPE settings is unticked.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Oh THANK YOU for this list!!!

I've been searching EVERYWHERE online for this very thing. This info (once the Ikea thing is right?) should really be stickied. Anyone using SimPE with a new install of Ultimate Collection will have this problem and need to manually insert their folders, so knowing WHICH ones go WHERE is absolutely VITAL!

<3 cannot thank you enough for this.

Hmm, the ikea stuff works fine for me. I think that's on the other end, idk. But nonetheless this is still better than nothing. and I think you can manually still do it with SimPE anyway if all else fails but idk.

Glad I could help though. Now we just have to figure out how to disable seasons for custom CAS lots

It doesn't still appear! And, there's no object that I can recolor. How can I? (I've already installed CEP).

I'm having a funny little problem. I followed all the steps above but now WIzards of SimPE is only showing what seems to be stuff pack objects, and nothing from the base game or expansion packs! Did I do something wrong?! I thought it was going so well!

Edit: Never mind, I didn't specify the expansion folders properly! My mistake!

I'm having this same problem. I went through all the steps but now only one of my stuff packs are showing up and nothing else.

I have windows 10, and everything is saved to my E:/ drive
I really want to recolor the Freetime Appliances

** I installed simlogical patch, that helped me get Kitchen & Bath, as well as some base stuff. I can't figure this out because it's all pointing to the correct files... Hmmm...
