I was wondering does cowplant has another feature & function other than feed, play, pet, milk, eat cake, take a microscope sample ?

When I hover my mouse on it, it says normal quality plant. Do we ever get the option to evolve it? or does it produce it's own cowberries ?

Well, apparently thats's all you can do with the cowplant. If a sim get eaten, you can milk the cowplant to obtain an elixir giving the emotionnal state the eaten sim had.
I do have some questions as well regarding the cowplant (I didn't want to create a new post).
First, I can't get any townies eaten, is it normal ? Did someone here had an unplayble sim trying to eat the cake on their own ?
And then, I didn't manage to get any essence of life (even if the eaten sim dies). Is there a special way to get it ?

I read somewhere that townies and visitors to the lot do not interaction with the Cowplant. I thought townies would wander by and eat the cake and the cowplant would attack. Nothing...sad.
I was unable to get anything but "essence" from them. I did not see a way to get cowberries.
But, I did forget to feed it, which turned out to be a good thing. It became a cow skull, which I thought was a wonderful decoration for the yard. And, now I don't have my household Sims wandering over and getting eaten and having their moods drained.
It was a while back that the Cowplant was alive so I can't quite remember, but I think you can evolve them. I'm wondering if my Sim can take a graft from one. I'll have to experiment again.
