Default Death.... Nothing happens? (No dramatic dying/collapse, no Grim Reaper, no mourning/sadness)
Soo... My sim died of starvation.. And nothing happened. She turned into an urn, that was it. One second she was standing there, the next she was an Urn.

She didn't dramatically collapse to the ground, or even appear to be slightly hungry. She just vanished and was replaced by an Urn. Grim Reaper did not show up, no one in the house seemed sad or even aware that she was dead. It was like she just never existed.

This is the first time I've actually killed a sim yet... But I've seen videos of a TS4 sim dying and death is supposed to show up, and they actually collapse and die not just *poof!* and they're a grave.

Anyone else had this issue? Or know how to change it? I wanna see Grimmy

Edit: I don't have the Ghosts update yet, my internet has been out all I have is Phone Data right now.... But a question about that, once I get my game updated, will already-dead sims be able to come back as ghosts? Or only if they died after the update? ... Also, what does "release spirit to Netherlands" do? If it's like TS3 I'm guessing it'll prevent them being ghosts once I update....?

I've had two sims die so far and grim showed up for both of them, but it really seemed like a non event. I don't think there was any grim reaper theme music (which I loved in ts3), nor did the camera even auto pan over to the area where my sim died so that I'd immediately be aware of what was going on. I just got a little purple notification in the corner of my screen and had to locate reaper and the collapsed sim on my own. I slso found it absolutely ridiculous that the only sim in my family who was upset by the death was the one who happened to be standing right there when it happened. The others who were at school or work at the time had not a care in the world. Your grandmother or mother dies and just because you weren't physically IN the room at the time you aren't sad?? No... fix this EA.

I believe sims who died before the update, as long as you still have their urn/tombstone, will be able to come back as ghosts.

Release spirit to netherworld makes it so the sim will be gone forever and not have a chance of coming back.

Yes, sims that die before the update can come back as ghosts. Not sure why Grim did not show up as when my sims died he did. As for morning my sims did not seem to be upset that their loved ones died. Even the daughter who begged the Grim Reaper for her father just when down stairs and started dancing. Grim came down and visited with the family for a bit and then left, no one seemed to care. Days later they are all going up to the urns to mourn now even the ghosts who have been invited to join the household will stand next to each other and mourn the other one. Not to mention the mourning of their past life. And while we are at it what's with the laying in bed crying all day because they miss their family, who are all in the next room?

I think mine was a glitch... Because I got none of that, no collapsing sim, no Grim, no crying, or any reaction from anyone. Her husband was right there, and her daughters were outside playing, but none of them reacted, not even the one who was there.

She was standing there perfectly still, then just disappeared, like a sim who teleported away, and then her urn showed up. I didn't get a notification of her death, either. :/

Though, everyone was sad about it after I had them mourn.

Hopefully this was a one-time glitch, she was my first and only TS4 sim to die, so hopefully next time I'll see Grim.. And maybe get a reaction if they're in the room .-.

EA does need to fix it though... Didn't they say in Live Streams before release that big events will have a larger impact on the sim, and their whole lives?? Yeah, that shows when they don't even react to death... >.>

I guess that's just a game glitch? Maybe cause the game reads ghosts as dead, so that's why the sims are still crying... Even though their ghosts are back, they still feel like/think they're gone? I don't have the update with Ghosts yet :c I can't wait though needa get my internet back >:/

I think it was a glitch :/ she just vanished and was replaced by an urn, no reaction, no grim reaper, not even a notification of her death. She's the only sim I've had die.. So I hope it's just a one-time error :/ I love Grimmy :D
