Butler refusing to do laundry and to cook
Hello,
I have a problem with my butler. He refuses to cook no matter how hungry my sim(s) are and if i ask him to cook he only makes a single meal.He also refuses to do laundry. He takes the clothes from the ground and puts them in the basket, but never actually does the laundry.I tried to reset my lot(via Nraas MasterController) to move out and move in my sims again, even saved my sim family and house(separately) and put them in new safe.I am playing in a custom Isla Paradiso world (i just remodeled one of the lot spaces with Create-A-World) if that makes any difference.I tried to hire new butlers (3 different ) all of them refused to do laundry and to cook.I tried building a relationship with them (once the normal way and twice with "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat) i tried to modify their traits( handy, natural cook, family oriented, hates the outdoors and neat) but still no change.I also tried using this mod. It says that it is for version 1.63, and mine is 1.67, but if i use the "B" mods butlers salary grows to 5000 a week so i guess the mod is working. I know i can make an extra sim in my active family and use it as a butler, but i don't want to, because i already have a family with 6 members and its hard enough to look after them...Please help me i don't know that else to do i tried everything i could find here or in google.Did someone make a mod for this problem, even if there is no package file, but just a tutorial...Or some workaround idk..
Also sorry for my bad english....I am not very sure where i have to put this thread so if it is in the wrong place feel free to move it.And also thank you for your time.

The laundry issue is, I think, normal. Butlers can put laundry into the baskets but they are unable to empty them and do the actual laundry. Plumbots, Bonehilda and, I think, maids are the same. They should do laundry if you remove all hampers, which is quite annoying after a while, too, of course, because in a big household they will be busy with laundry most of the time.

As regards the cooking, I can't be of any help unfortunately. The only butler I have is constantly cooking, more than I'd prefer him to.

Thank you so much he really does laundry when i remove the baskets, now the question is how to make him cook for my family ....

There are settings in Retuner to adjust cooking times, etc:
From City Hall or a Computer>Retuner>Settings>General>Sims3.Gameplay.Services>Buter

TFM over at the Asylum has a mod for Butlers. See Butler Cooking Tweaks

Hello thank you for your answer , i downloaded the Nraas Retuner mod, but unfortunately i didn't fix my problem by tuning the cooking times, etc, About the other mod as far as I understood it only tunes the cooking times , put away leftover times etc which is basicly what the Nraas mod is doing.I guess the problem is not in the tuning(unless i am tuning something wrong)..I read that some users got this problem after updating with the pach for Supernatural EP( I think it is 1.55, but i am not sure) which makes me think that either EA tried to fix the overcooking butler problem (but failed again) or it is something in the new patch that conflicts with the buttler's settings idk ... Any ideas ? Thank you

How much insolence! How this butler dare to not obey? Dear lord, this is an outrage. A shame to the high sim society. What Vita Alto would say if she knew that? You should fire him to he never more can put his filthy and low class feet inside your mansion again.

PS: I'm kidding because butlers are always funny. I don't know if this helps but maybe you can hire a maid to do the laundry job. A sim who can afford a buttler can afford a maid!

My butler cooks all the time and just leaves the leftovers on the counter. He decides to laundry when my sims in the bathroom and interrupts them. He absolutely refuses to have anything to do with kids and just lets the plants die. He once kicked my sims parents out of the house for no good reason.

Okay i think i found a workaround
I downloaded this awesome mod and after reading the description carefully i set it up and now i have a personal cook for my family.I am still tesing it, but for now the cook had served a leftover for one of my sims (she took sushi from the fridge, then put it on the counter and a buble with my hungry sim appeared over her head) and also when i click on the cook i have a remote interaction( you know with the orange circle and dot) "Ask to cook" and when clicked i can choose any meal like i am in a restaurant. Then the cook goes to the fridge and starts preparing the GROUP meal. Havent tested this mod fully yet, but from what i saw until now my problem is solved. If there is some kind of problem with the mod later i will write again to tell you guys.
Sorry for my bad english and thank you for your help

Actually Douglasveiga has a housekeeper service mod that functions almost like butlers (though laundry isn't explicitly stated on the list of what a housekeeper does). This doesn't really fix the butler issue, only it is used as a replacement.

Thank you for the answer. It is a good mod, but my butler already fixes things and cleans, the two things he doesn't do is laundry(unless i remove all of the laundry baskets in which case he collects all clothes on the ground in the lot and puts them in the washing machine and then in the dryer) and cooking(but i have a chef now so i got that covered :D).Anyway i may try the housekeeping mod in a few days when i get home.Thank you again for suggesting it.
