Default Anyway to Speed up downloading?
So I've been trying to download sims 4 CAS demo for about 2 hours now and its at 29% and I REALLY want to speed it up

So is there anyway I could speed it up? Because I've been waiting to get it and I would like to be able to play it by the end of the night >_>

The only way I know of is to make sure you don't have a lot of other things going on with your bandwidth, as don't be streaming video, loading a lot of resource-intensive web pages, etc. while it's downloading. Your ISP could also be under a heavy load which could slow it down for you. If you're not doing anything else with your internet then it's already downloading as fast as it will go. We don't have fast internet service here so we make sure to download anything like this late at night.

Now forgive me while I sit back and laugh over the "future" of gaming with mandatory digital downloads. These companies don't realize they're cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Err, disable sleep mode until you're done with the download?

Of course it will, like Eskie said you should disable sleep mode unless you want to babysit it.

I forgot to mention that I got a new computer so my settings aren't really adjusted to my liking, but I found a way to fix it, currently at 76% :D

~update~
I canceled the CAS demo download and started downloading the actual game (don't question my motives) and I woke up to it being a 10%

And thus continues my Sim4 downloading diary, lets just hope that the installation doesn't take as long

Make sure you have nothing else going on with your bandwidth that you don't need. Like, no running bittorrent in the background, no playing online games or having anybody else in your home watching Netflix. If you're using a laptop you might be able to take it somewhere with faster internet, like a local library, university or McDonalds. Depending on how slow your internet is these might actually be a good choice.
Also, installation time shouldn't have anything to do with download time, because that's reliant on your computer itself, rather than your internet connection.

I'm not sure how to check my bandwidth and stuff, but I'll look it up

And there's four people in my house who are pretty much reliant on WIFI and internet connection, and I can't really go anywhere today, Christmas parties and all -__-
