Ctrl + Shift + C won't open cheats in Sims 4
No matter what I do or when/where I try, I can't get ctrl+ shift+ c to open the cheat line. I've never encountered this before on any other version of the sims. Only now with the Sims 4?

So I'm not the only one! I thought I was going bonkers lol. I wonder if maybe it's the version of Windows? I'm going to try and run compatibility with another version of Windows. I'm running 8.1. I haven't found a solution ANYWHERE. That'd be great if we could find one! I'll keep you posted as well if I figure it out. Thanks for replying, Maharet!

Could be that you have another program that has taken over control of the ctrl-shift-c combo and that will stop the cheat box from opening. I remember a few years back when playing Sims 2 this happened to me and I think it may have been like a screenshot program but truthfully I can not remember.

Just read elsewhere that a screenshot program called skitch is causing issues and as soon as it is uninstalled the cheat console starts working again.
I am guessing that a program on your pc is utilizing that string for its own shortcut and is conflicting with the sims 4.

There may be a program out there that you can run to determine the shortcuts each program you have installed and the shortcuts they use. I'm not sure though.
