Default XML - set weight and muscle for generated townies
So, thanks to Shimrod101 pointing me in the right direction, I've now set up my game to only generate male young adult townies. But I was wondering if there's a tuning field for the weight and muscle setting as well? I've been thoroughly searching the XML's but I can't seem to find it...

The CaS Modifiers files which are used in my CaS Modifiers bugfix mod will do this.

MedievalMods and Sims3mods: Dive Cave Reset Fix, Resort Revamp, Industrial Oven Revamp, Will O' Wisp fix, UI Sounds Disabled, No Cars, Gnome Family Planner, Townies Out on the Town, No Martial Arts Clothes, Fast Skilling, etc. http://simsasylum.com/tfm/

Thanks so much for the answer. After some testing, it seems that the Randomizer always chooses one of the body presets and the CaS modifiers are applied on top of that (as far as I can tell). So this means that even setting fat to 0 in the CAS modifiers, the game will still roll fat Sims. I'm now looking to see wether I can change the available presets. But... yeah, I don't really have an idea where to find those. I'm looking as CAS parts, but that's only for meshes, not for slider manipulation...

Have you tried to set it to negative values?

Good idea, tried that but it had no effect.

I've also looked for those Presets files or files pertaining to them, and never did find them.

I've asked on the official forums. Let's hope one of the Guru's answers it...
In another thread over there that CAS is mostly hardcoded and not that moddable, so I wouldn't be surprised if the presets are hardcoded into CAS. It would be odd, but it might be that way.

They replied! But I've searched through the game's package files and am able to find the resource type, but not the specific instances for the presets. I don't know how I would go about editing them, either (to switch them off for random...).

Interesting! Thanks for the link. I did find those instances, they're in the ClientFullBuild0.package, but I don't really have time to look at them now. The .bt file information posted is a binary template file which can be used with the 010 Editor There may be a free alternative available somewhere, not sure. It would certainly be possible to just use a hex editor on the file as well, someone would just have to figure out the offsets into the file by hand. If all else fails, I can look into this in a day or two - this weekend would be my worst case scenario guess.

The .bt file is more or less just a list of variables found in the file, the structure of these variables and special code needed to read some of them. There isn't really a need to calculate offsets as long as you follow along. It is very easy to translate into the language of your choice if you take the time. Sadly I do not have the time.

YAAAAAAS it worked! Oh my gooood! Thank you all so much for the tips and pointers! I used the 010 Editor and the bt template provided by the ModSquad to change the random value for certain body types and now it only rolls the once I've set to 1!
