Default How to identify files in Tray folder ?
Hey, I would like to manage my stuff I downloaded from the exchange in the folder "Tray", but they are more than 1000 files in there and I do not know how to identify them.

I know that houses are composed with .trayitem .blueprint and .bpi files and sims are composes with .trayitem .hhi .sgi and .householdbinary files but the probleme is that the files do not have the same name as the content it represent.
For example, a house named "Sweet blue home" will have it's files named 0x00000303!0x097c01a250320008.xxx .
And the problem is that, for one content, the .trayitem .blueprint and .bpi files do not have the same name.

So I am here to ask if there is a wat to identify exactly each groups of files representing each content I have.

I'm sure they did this on purpose so people would be forced to use the gallery. I'd really appreciate if sims were saved into one single .sim file, houses into a .house file, etc. Or something like that anyways, you get the idea. Sorry I couldn't help.

I can't say I've ever seen it advised to place tray files in sub folders, but it's worth a try if you really, really need to know what's what. Only download one house, place all relevant files in a sub folder named "sweet blue home," load up game and see if house is still available in bin to place. If not, then sub folders are a no-no. If yes, then you have your painstaking but organized one-by-one method to keep it all tidy.

You can actually load up one of the files in notepad and you will be able to read the name. You won't be able to read anything else, but the name will appear. That being said I've only ever tested this on sims. Have no idea if it works for lots.

Thanks for all yours answers, would you know at least, what is the function of each files (.trayitem .blueprint .bpi .hhi .sgi .householdbinary).
I notices that a content could still work, even if I deleted one of them, and I did not noticed a lost of anything in this content, should I conclude, they are files that are useless ?
