If your wondering how to live in Granite Falls Recently I was managing households swapping some out... and If you take a single sim and swap him out it let's you move him to granite falls. But once you are there it will tell you that you don't have enough money, just pull up the cheat bar enter freerealestate on... Once you purchased your lot to edit your home lot just Enter bb.enablefreebuild and there you go.. Just though I would share..

Not sure if I followed your instructions correctly but I noticed two things. Once you live there you can't travel outside of Granite Falls. Also, if you have an active career (I tried detective) it'll send the sim to work but then kick you to manage worlds (after a loading screen).

I tested this all out with Johhny Zest. I was able to get mail and pay bills, go to work with a normal job (entertainer) but I could not travel to any other town or own a retail shop. As soon as I checked the house he bought in Granite falls it showed another sim was vacationing there so I couldn't even select him again.

Is this the case for you as well?

I just tested this and yes that is the case. However you are able to manage the current world so your able to lay down a retail lot and play on it Another thing I noticed that is cool about it is that the same people doesnt show up at your lot everyday on retail because its constantly changing with new people on vacation.. I dont know if you noticed but the same people seem to show up on retail lot everyday its kind of annoying...

lol i noticed that to That if you leave someone is already in your house when you get back haha... However I think its great if your just a writer and want to live in the woods and never leave granite falls lol

Update : I was able to go to work in the science career and with the enablefreebuild mode I was able to save the science center and then move it into granite falls and go to work so that is one other option I'm assuming it works for all careers

I'm not really sure what you mean by this. Do you think you could explain it with more detail?
