Changing EP flags of a CC object in SimPE
I downloaded a set of picture frames (
http://threadandsandpaper.dreamwidth.org/1871.html), 40 or so of them, slaved to a master. They wouldn't show up in game, so I opened a Master and a random slave in
SimPE to look at them (sometimes creators put stuff in wrong categories so I wanted to know where to look for them). But they were in Wall hangings and Sculptures and I had none of them in my game.
Looking further I saw that both master and slave had in OBjectData / Catalog Sort 0.3 Catalog Sorting (0x0040 Valid EP flags) set to -32768 (decimal)! Just for test, I changed that number first to 0 and next time to 1 (alike other cc wall hangings i have) and both times they did show in catalogue with all 50+ recolors - allowing me to place them in game and have a sim go view them without problems.
My question is if that is
safe (smart) thing to do? I wouldn't like game crashing in some crucial moment or corrupting the lot coz of couple of frames
Also, even when things work, I like to know why of it, so can someone please tell me what are the
SimPE codes for EP flags?
And more, I am curious about the very first item in ObjectData/RawData, ie 01. OBJD File (0x0000 version_1-ReadOnly). Most of my cc have it as decimal 139 and 140, what's the difference?
