What did you guys do with the teens from Veronaville?
Okay so we know Veronaville is the whole Romeo and Juliet setup, but what did you do with your teens?
Did you follow the play and kill off certain characters? Or did you pair together unlikely duos? I'm just bored right now and interested. I put together Hermia and Mercutio because I thought they were better together and Puck with Tybalt makes the cutest couple ever. :D

In my megahood currently Hermia and Alexander Goth are flirting it up. I think its a cute conversation because he looks super serious and she has a more ecentric appearance. (I havent gotten around in my rotation to decide what to do with the others)

The teens from Veronaville? My whole life revolves round them! Some of my best friends are teens living in Veronaville!

I'm thinking of course not just of the pre-made playables, but of also of all the teenage CAS Sims, townies and ex-townies, Downtownies and ex-Downtownies who live in and around our Veronaville. (I no longer say "my Veronaville", it belongs jointly to myself and my Sims!) I think I prefer playing teens to playing adults, and they have come to dominate my game. As I play with aging almost permanently off, they are all still teens. Of the pre-made playables, Mercutio, almost uniquely amongst my teens, has no romantic involvement yet. Hermia wanted nothing more to do with him after he hit her at Puck's party. Romeo is going steady with Juliette, but he's not her only love interest. She's going steady with my CAS Sim Jamie Siddons too. Being the Capp heiress carries certain privileges, and having two steady boyfriends is one of them. One day she intends that they will be her two husbands. Regrettably she doesn't extend the same licence to her boyfriends. She expects fidelity from them. Which is a pity because Jamie is also in love with poor little Glenda McBain, a remarkably childlike CAS Romance teen. I dread to think what will happen when Juliette finds out. I like her, but she is a Capp. She might take after her grandfather. Poor Jamie never meant to fall in love with either of them. He meant to concentrate on his school work and just make friends. But Hormones?! Who'd have them?

Capp Manor? The outside world sees Consort as a tough hard-nosed businessman. He once beat up an innocent townie woman just for being in his way on the sidewalk. But at home his grandchildren know how to wrap him round their little fingers. The Manor seems like a permanent teenage party. Poor Consort - he once found 6 teens in varying states of undress in his private bathroom. Hermia, who was instrumental in getting Juliette together with Jamie (she thought it was funny), was going steady with Puck until she found him doing something unspeakable (she won't tell me what) with another boy. She went out with Miranda, looking for a new boyfriend, and she tried to get off with Gerry McBain, Glenda's even more childlike kid brother, but Gerry preferred Miranda. So now Hermia is trying to get back with Puck. Tybalt has got into a serious relationship with Lexie Kauker, a very feisty Fortune Downtownie girl. (Her favourite pastime is noogieing boys!) Consort thinks she's an eminently suitable match, and an early wedding is on the cards. She has moved into a downtown hostel for townie teens, and Tybalt has spent a few nights with her there.

Goneril and Albany's family recently moved into Cappland, a house built for them beside the market. As I already mentioned Miranda, the only teen there, is in the early stages of a relationship with young Gerry McBain. I hope she's gentle with him; Gerry looks about twelve!

Puck Summerdream? Poor kid, like many of the local townie boys, he fell into the clutches of my notorious Cornton brothers. Living with their appalling father Tom, these two gay Romance brothers, Gordon and David were trying, with the aid of an Easy Bed, to seduce every teen male they could meet. David Cornton spotted Puck in the street outside their Downtown house, went out to greet him. He then lured him first into the house, and then into his bed. . . Puck tried to put the matter behind him. He proposed to Hermia that they go steady. But he stayed friends with David and he kept thinking about him. When Oberon and Titania finally decided to get married, Titania thought it would be nice to invite Puck's friend David as well as his girlfriend. Big mistake. Puck and David got together and, whatever they did, Hermia was watching. I don't know what they did because I was watching the wedding. Hermia won't tell me, but she says it was "quite disgusting".

As for the Veronaville townies, Mallory Mace, Keith Cormier and Amar Larrea are now all playable and live in the same Teen Townie Hostel as Lexie Kauker. Keith and Amar were both involved in the Cornton brothers' shenanigans as was Jihoon LeTourneau. Keith is trying to put his gay period behind him and is trying to go steady with Mallory. Amar is really quite messed up. He has a steady boyfriend in Berjes Wilsonoff, a former Downtownie teen, another former "victim" of the Corntons, but he still holds a candle for Gordon Cornton. This leads to frequent rifts with Berjes, who now can't stand the sight of Gordon even though they were once lovers. Berjes himself, though he started as a Downtownie, must count as a Veronaville teen now. He stays in the Via Venezia with Antonio Monty, where he acts as a live-in nanny for Beatrice and Benedick. Jihoon LeTourneau shares a little Downtown house with Jamie Siddons. Jihoon chose to live there to be near Gordon Cornton, but then he discovered just how many "boyfriends" Gordon had. Now he's going steady with Ralph Enriquez, another Veronaville townie. When Ralph decided to become gay (by autonomously kissing Jihoon at a nightclub, in the background when I was playing other Sims) he changed from wearing baggy jeans to pink shorts! Ralph is still a townie, as are the three original Maxis Veronaville townie teen girls that I haven't mentioned yet: Kendra McCarthy, Chris Cho, and Nancy Philipine. Kendra is the steady girlfriend of BJ Shaikh, the Tricou Goth with the long black coat and black lipstick. BJ lives in a little Gothy cottage hidden among the trees near the canal. Many of my other teens find Kendra very hard to get on with. Chris and Nancy have no love interest that I know of, but they have plenty of friends. Indeed it was Chris who once accompanied Andrew Jones to Gothier Green Lawns when he wanted to see a ghost. In my game being a townie doesn't mean that you're a wallflower.

I can't finish without mentioning Andrew Jones, my very first Sim. He's been with me since the very beginning of my game and I see him as a close friend. I mention him often in my posts, so if you read them, you must have heard of him. He lives with his mum at 19 Chorus Court opposite the market. As I'm sure you know he's gay, and his steady boyfriend is Julian Moltke, who lives with his mum and dad and his younger brother and sister at 100 Via Veronaville. Julian has been in my game nearly as long as Andrew. He comes from a German family so the "J" in his name is pronounced like and English "Y". Julian and Andrew are quite sure they have found true love in each other. They are friendly with a lot of the other gay crowd, including some of the very promiscuous ones, but secretly believe their own monogamous faithful relationship is much superior. They've been going steady for ages but have never had woohoo because Andrew thinks they should wait till they're older, possibly till they marry. Julian would like to go further but loves Andrew far too much to force the issue.

Well is that enough about my teens from Veronaville? I have tried to include all the teens with a direct connection to Veronaville "proper". i.e. Veronaville pre-made playables and townies, and Sims of any origin who actually live in Veronaville. I've just realised I've missed out the teens who live further along the Via Veronaville. At number 26 there's Ross Moore, who lives with his mum and dad and younger brother Othello. (Guess why I gave him that name!) Ross helps in his dad's shop in Poet Place, and his dad won't let either brother go to school because he says he needs them in the shop. Further along still, just before the Aqueduct, there are Newsons in their tumble down old house at number 2. The Newsons are the newest arrivals in the town and Gavin and Ginger are doing their best to provide a good home for their siblings on the pittance of a wage that Gavin can earn in a house that is totally inadequate. I nearly called them step-siblings, but Ginger objects to the prefix "step-". Blood relatives or not, her commitment to them is absolute. None of these three have any romantic relationships as yet. I think Ross and Ginger could get on well together. They have in common the lack of schooling and the wish to go there. But Ginger rejects all teenage boys as immature, because they haven't been through the hell that she and Gavin have come through. I say thank God for that! I still hope they might get together yet.

There are more teens who have always lived downtown, and since Christmas the Bluewater teens have begun to join the scene too, but I'd go on for ever if included all of them! I hope I haven't missed anyone that I should have included.

With all that going on I cannot understand how people can find Veronaville boring. As one of my Sims said (misquoting Dr. Samuel Johnson I think), "Anyone who's bored with Veronaville is bored with life!"

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

I've heard about megahoods! Are they just every town but connected? I think I'll look in to downloading it. Opposites do attract, don't they? :lovestruc

Dang! That's a lot of love ties. I'd have to say my favorite life state is teens too. The fact that they can sneak out and run away is hilarious. Veronaville is a lot of fun, and probably my favorite town as well. I made my own version called Leveronaville, which is a cheap ripoff of Pleasantview, and I was very unsatisfied with my level of originality.

Thats the idea of a megahood For mine I downloaded these templates that were all the main towns as subhoods and attached it to a custom map to go with my story but the typical one is pleasantview with the others as subhoods

This is the safest megahood around now - you build your own. Choose which hood you want as a base, and you can add whichever others you want as downtowns or shopping districts.

Oh I love Veronaville!
I reinstalled the game a couple of years back and paired up Mercutio and Tybalt and have been doing it in every version of the neighbourhood ever since. They make the cutest couple and offer you some interesting challenge. You actually need to work out how to make them talk to each other, try to be friends etc. They are the best premade pairing I did. Once they get over the initial hatred, they are literally all over each other. The idea of two mortal enemies together, lol.

Capps:
Juliette Capp found herself pregnant early on with Romeo's child, so Consort arranged for her to marry Orion Tricou before the baby was born. Phillip Capp was born minutes after the marriage and has never met his real father. Since then Juliette has gone to university (studying literature) and graduated with a 4.0 GPA, had 3 more children (Oxford, and twins Friar & Laurence).
Tybalt Capp went to college too, also studying Literature and graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Met Lilith Pleasant in her freshman year in the same sorority as Juliette (all sims have to join a greek house in my game, it's just faster to play) when he was visiting after graduating, the two of them now live in the house between the Capps and the Summerdreams in Veronaville. They concieved a child moments before their wedding, but with all the stress of the big family marriage, Lilith miscarried. They've just had a son last rotation though, named Lucius Capp
Hermia Capp started going steady with Puck Summerdream and got engaged, she then went to university to study literature in the same sorority as her older sister and cousin, she too graduated with a 4.0GPA. Her and Puck own a store for witches in Veronaville called the 'Boil 'n' Bubble' and I think they either married last rotation, or will be marrying this rotation. Hermia is in the early stages of pregnancy.
Miranda Capp went to the same uni and sorority as her cousins, throughout college she did not keep to the same GPA expectations as her cousins however, finishing with a 2.-something or so. Managed to get half-way to her life-time want of woohooing 20 different sims before moving in with her long-time boyfriend Mercutio Monty and his family and becoming his wife. She is also in the early stages of pregnancy.

Monty
Mercutio Monty studied... something, finishing with a high 3.-something in university. He became very close friends with his frat brothers Dustin Broke and Dirk Dreamer (who are actually step-brothers), and continued to attend parties until all three of them graduated, mainly because his brother Romeo joined the frat the year after he graduated and... Dustin and Dirk weren't too fond of the slob. Mercutio moved back in with his loving grandparents after university and takes care of his grand-mother after his grand-fathers death. As said previously, he's now married and expecting a child.
Romeo Monty was bitten by a wolf and became a werewolf along with his grandma Isabella (the Monty family raise wolves for protection). Romeo went off to uni after wasting most of his time doing nothing, didn't declare his major so was eventually put into philosophy. He didn't study or attend classes and influenced poor pledges to do all his assignments and term papers for him while he lazed around with the bubble blower. His other frat brothers, Dustin and Dirk didn't like him very much, but kept him around because well, his older brother was like family to them, so they just kinda had to accept it. Eventually they were kinda-sorta friends, but didn't keep in contact after university. Romeo wooed his way through many women, including his brother's wife (before they got married, but while they were dating) and is mostly seeing Bottom Summerdream, though she has other plans with someone else (his cousin Benedick I believe). He lives across from his grandparents and doesn't work but has a pet wolf he inherited that is in the service career.

Summerdream
Puck Summerdream decided not to go to university, unlike all other teens in his area. Instead he focused on a career, as well as becoming a good witch like both his parents. He helped his mother through 3 miscarriages, and helped raise his triplet siblings. After Hermia finished university, they decided to finally find a place of there own and are now happily running a business (as well as working in the slacker career on the side) and are hoping to start a small family together very soon.

No kidding! Must've taken ages to do that. Mercutio has a special place in my heart as my favorite character from Romeo and Juliet.
