Brntwaffles' lighting mods
What's your favourite?

I've been using Blue Skies & Sunshine for quite some time, and I must say I really, really love it!

I use different ones all the time. Depends on what world I'm playing. My favorites are Dystopian and Moonrise Kingdom. Am I playing Sunset Valley/Sunlit Tides I use a tropical one.

Definitely Moonrise Kingdom, combined with Skyrim starfield. I have all the MK variations, so I can change between them if I want a different water color. It looks stunning.

I use different BrntWaffles lighting/water combinations for different worlds: Cloud 9, Brighter Realm, Dream Dimension, Dystopian, Fresh Cut Day, Midnight Dream, Moonrise Kingdom.

I also use Mediterranean Day and Hylewood lighting mods by Nilxis.

Is there a way to put lighting into different worlds without changing the package in Mods/restarting the game? I have a custom world (Pounawea) missing lighting files, so I use Moonrise Kingdom w/ Ponawea water (of course) for that one, but would like to try some others out on Sunset valley.

Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end.

If you're going to use the same lighting in Sunset Valley as you use in Pounawea, you won't need to change anything. But if you want to try out different lighting/water combinations, you'll need to change the package/file in your Mods folder, and delete your scriptCache.package file before starting up your game with the new lighting.

I keep my Lighting and Sunrise/Sunset mods in folders on my desktop so I don't have to go digging for them when I want to make a change.

Thank you! I do that at the moment too. I was hoping that I can add the lighting to the .world file somehow so I don't have to bother with swapping mods.

If I want to swap games, can I exit to main menu, swap mods, then load the new game? Or do I have to reload the entire program?

Also, what about travelling?

Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end.

You're welcome! My understanding with the lighting mods is that we should only have one installed in our mods folder at a time. It's always advised to delete your script.Cache.package file when you make changes to your mods folder, so I believe you would need to completely exit the game, delete, add your new mod, then start up your game again to ensure that everything is cleared as it should be.

If you have a lighting mod in place, the world you travel to will have the same lighting as your home world (unless you switch them out).

Someone with more lighting experience and knowledge may pop in here and give you an easier solution to switching from one to another without having to manually make the changes. If that's possible, I'm not aware of it.
