Hi everyone. It's late, I'm tired, and I'm sick of my crappy graphics. Yesterday a friendly simmer told me that it might help to delete my Sims 3 folder [documents] to see if it would help my blurry/pixelated textures. Unbenownst, it did, but not in the way I expected. In essence, it just opened an entirely NEW can of worms. I realized that my graphics card [after the reload of the game] wasn't be recognized, which I know for a fact is the problem at hand.

I found the simswiki tutorial and followed the directions, but I KNOW I did something wrong, because I'm pretty gosh darn sure my graphics card is a lot better. While the deviceconfig says [Found: 1, Matched 1] the settings [after refreshing them when loading the game anew] are too low for the graphics card quality [or at least, that's what I'm lead to believe.]

I briefly scanned the forum to see many similar problems, but was wondering if anyone could spot a mistake or tell me what I'm doing wrong, specifically for my graphics card. I'm a pretty competent person, but I really would enjoy being able to do screen archery with Sims 3, and with the level of quality I have now, it's nearly impossible.

Just wanted to say thanks nitromon, because I apparently had that texture memory problem and didn't even realize it until I decided to take a peek into this topic. I wasn't having any real issues before, but I did decide to check my deviceconfig file and it showed 32MB <<OVERRIDE>> before but now it shows 1024MB.
