Default Ideas for Clubs
I'm curious to know what other clubs people have created that have actually been beneficially and fun.

I created a Fishing Club, which makes little sense, and I have 5 fisherman, no one talks to each other, yet they gain relationships scores fast with each other without saying a word, also the sim your actually controlling is really the only sim that is catching anything, the others actually look like they catch awesome finds, but if I switch to them there is nothing in their inventories. If the others are reallyy skillbuilding, I have no idea. Otherwise I'm thinking of returning to solo fishing,

I do play most of the pre-made clubs, but they are shrinking, my Leaders score hate points with many so I end up kicking them out.

Hi! Clubs is one of my favourite features!

The first club I created was The Class Club which is for rich sims to view art, drink at the bar and make friends. The gatherings are like fancy cocktail events, usually at the Goth residence because it is the most opulent of backdrops. The points gained would then go towards buying club status, networking etc. which in turn makes these sims even more privileged. This club is for YA to elders and I'll often have the parents of a sim trying to match their child with a beneficial marriage (kind of like a debutante ball you might see on Downton Abbey).

The teen version of The Class Club is The Socialites (which I often misread as The Socialists). These are the offspring of The Class Club as well as some middle class sims who are trying to make friends in high places or marry up. The aims are to gain friends, use viewing art at the museum as an excuse to flirt with group members and to be mean to some of the less snobby clubs like The Renegades.

The Florentines was founded by an elder Florent Lyon as a drinking and card playing club that gathered at his house. However, as dissatisfaction with the privileged upperclass has been growing, his grandson is going to turn the club into an angry, mean-spirited group whose aim is to be mean to and to fight The Class Club. I've only just begun playing The Sims 4, so most of my gen 1 is still around as elders and gen 3 has just been born, but I expect this divided club scene is where I'm taking things.

I've also had a lot of fun taking over The Avant Gardes! They are now run by one of my favourite sims, Erin Engel, a bestselling author married to Cassandra Engel-Goth. They live in an artsy little house, so the club gathers there to read books in the garden, watch Cassandra play the piano, paint until the early morning hours etc. This was mainly to gain skills for jobs and aspirations but now I've had Cassandra paint pictures of the club members and stick them in the museum, kind of like a cultural history of the town.

tl dr: I see the clubs as a way to establish lifestyle and status, rather than as tools for reaching aims.

I love my game's yoga club. They meet at the yoga studio, which I turned into a generic lot. I also removed the teacher stand so no one generates to teach classes.

- Simlabs Science Council, where my Scientists gather to explore the meaning of life. I had them based in a basement in a Science Museum I made. Mainly, they just got abducted repeatedly.

- Willow Creek Health Clinic. I have this club based in the Library and filled with my Doctors. I mainly use it for my pregnant Sims to find out what they're going to give birth to. I also added an office area for private consultations.

- Homework club for children, with a Void Critters battle tournament on the side.

- Alien Broodmothers, Pollinators, Human Rebels, Specimens, and Human Slaves for my Alien Invasion world. Each group has different interactions with the others.

- Finally, I have a bunch of 'family clubs' such as the Curious Family that I use to have a family clean/fix/garden/cook together, sort of like a Spring Clean Day.

And this is just the start. I like using the club system a bit too much, methinks...

I would like to clear up the little matter of my sanity as it has come into question. I am not in any way, shape, or form, sane. Insane? Hell yes!

People keep calling me 'evil.' I must be doing something right.

I LOVE the idea of a science museum with a scientific community! Must dedicate some time to building one à la Oxford University Museum of Natural History :lovestruc

Wow, I'm getting a lot of ideas from this, thank you all. And I think I'll redo the first club (I'm new at this) I made for my game, the writer's club - it failed spectacularly because whenever my sims gathered at their chosen location, a library, to read and write, the place was packed and everyone wanted to chat. Anyway, as I recently got the costume SP as well, I'm thinking I'll make a goofy superhero group, a bunch of sims in their outfits roaming the streets doing good deeds, just because it would amuse me. But there's so much about clubs I haven't figured out yet, like if I set an outfit for the group, is it possible to give the members each their own colour version of it, or does everyone get the exact same one? And what happens if, say for the writer's club, I call club meetings when some members are supposed to be at work? Will they still show up, and if they do, do they end up taking a hit to their work performance because of that? Does anyone know?

Hmmmm, I can’t comment on the outfits as I haven’t tried them yet, but as for work performance, I think it works the same as the child sims who show up in the parks to play during school time without affecting their grades? So far all the club members have showed up to gatherings regardless of their work schedule. At least I haven’t noticed any work performance decrease in my sims even though they spend a lot of time at club gatherings (when organised by another sim, I hope that makes sense!). Anyone with actual methodically tested info on this?

Who knows, maybe the sims have a more lenient school and work culture in which they don’t let their schooling get in the way of their education

Yeah I have trouble trying to keep my sims at work or school, they like to take the day off whenever given half a chance, because I'm unsure if there performance suffers, I tend start my gathering after midnight till 6am, and I think it's more beneficial having the same members living in the same household, this way you can control more than one at a time.

So far I have made two clubs, one for watching movies, they meet at the movie theater which is on the same lot with a cafe. The club activities are watch movies, watch TV, drink coffee, and be friendly. They alternate between movie watching and drinking coffee and help to make the lot appear more animated.
The other club I've made was a household club, so that my sim could reserve use of a community apartment without buying the lot. Friends of the sim received membership and club activities consisted of cooking, cleaning, watching tv, etc.

I've found out my great idea to really use the Renegades, by default we only can meet at Community Lots, but changed some settings, and we can visit people houses, and nothing more amusing, rocking up univited at your enemies houses at 1am in the morning and then breaking everything in slight, from stoves, sinks, toilets, TVs, etc. The family got so uncomfortable with there surrondings they eneded running out the house and I eventually found them like half a mile at a beach complaining about problems, etc. Hiralous!!

I have two bodybuilding-clubs. They meet in gyms, do training together - and shower a lot.
And I learned that it's no good idea to have old people in the club, because some of them died of exhaustion!

Then I built a colourful house for children in a park, with all stuff children can use, painting-tables, books, puppet-theater, card-table, voidcritter-console... Children can play with all of it and do their homeworks.

I tried a cooking-club, but that didn't went well. The members cooked and cooked (mostly cakes), and when all tables and counters were full, they just put the food on the floor.

The fun-clubs meet in country-style bars, playing darts, table-football, listen to music, drinking at the bar.

Garden-club turned out to be annoying, because you get the message "plants don't need anything" (or so) a thousand times, every few seconds.

Then there is a dance-club for teenagers, and one for all ages. They meet in the discothek and dance until the morning comes...

My favourite club is the "relaxed seniors club", where old people meet. They watch films, use the whirlpool, play darts, chat with each other, read...
I built a retirement-home for that, all the seniors who don't want to live with their children and grandchildren anymore, can move in.

I really love clubs!

I like those suggests, and ha ha! My sims just never die, so they hard to die in TS4 now, i'm going to make my own elder bodybuilding club.

I use Maxis Garden gnomes club, but for some reason, Maxis has allowed children to be invited to join, this is pointless since children don't get the harvest, tend, interactions adults do.

I do like my Cooking Club (Maxis again), but yeah they arrived cook and cook, eat and eat and make quite a mess after they leave,

For a dance club for teens, well this is a Prom Mod, http://simscommunity.info/2016/08/2...-with-this-mod/ but being a global mod. I only recommend to use it when you want to use it, keep it out of your mods folder for normal play.

I have a few political parties since Sims 3 so the clubs came very handy.

In one hand, there's the Democratic Party - which is all about social programs and equality. The democrats in my game are mostly scientists and doctors, but mostly because the clubs are so limited. The matriach of my legacy family is running for mayor in Willow Creek. I also have a very benevolent guy running for mayor in Windenburg. On the other hand, obviously, is the Republican Party - which is fighting for conservatism and traditional values. The republicans in my game are mostly working in business or in the politics career itself. In Windenburg, there's an awesome machiavelic woman climbing up the political ladder.

I also made a Health Association club for my sims working in the Medical, Science and Athletic fields. And the Artists Guild club are mostly my sims that work on the Entertainment and Painter careers.

My taste is little more controversial. I've made 2 adult clubs with woohoo actions. The one is Eyes wide shut club from the film Eyes wide shut and a massage club from the tv show "Client" list. and other is therapy club for insane sims for therapy sessions with an evil doctor, club mood is sad because of the poor therapy. ( I have personal experience how bad it can be if you are forced to talk about your feelings when you don't want to..) I made a church club too, where they read books (supposed to be the bible) in a small romantic country church.I love clubbing and how versatile it is.

I made a club for young adults who wanted to bang older people (adults and elders) and a club with the sole purpose of acting like an asshole to people in the Avant Gardes club.

...I play my game a different way.

Has anyone tried to create a fake roommate scenario using clubs? I mean, club activities can include eating, sleeping and showering after all, so... I've been wondering if it works. Pity there is no setting for "all" activities in the subcategories, like all the basic tend-to-yourself activites or all friendly and so on. Could have been fun.

Edit: A day later.
Soo. I tried a roommates club for a bit, and I guess it works... sort of? Without some "all" settings there wouldn't be much point though, because as you might have guessed, the club members came by, ate some food, someone had a drink and someone else took a shower - then all of them marched off to various spots in the house (no you silly sim, there are beds and bedrooms for all of you, DON'T GO TO SLEEP ON THE OUTDOOR BENCH) and went to sleep. Then someone woke up, not sure if they had a drink or a shower really, but then they took a nap. And so did my own sims, I had to fight to keep them from randomly going to sleep despite having full energy bars. And despite trying to get them going in other club activites. :p

Anyone know if there a is a limit of how many clubs you can create? I been going on and on and creating Clubs for everything imaginable, a movie watching club, a repairmen club, a cleaning club, a mean club for mean sims, etc etc. I noticed I got so many clubless sims, and I feel there should be a club for everyone.

I love to use clubs in my game, there is so many possibilities! Recently I made hackers club, so basically they make viruses, do programming and they hack And I always have some family clubs, it is much more easier to keep family bonds strong. I also read great ideas about making after school activities clubs, I didn't make one yet, but I plan to do labolatory club for children, or some art/music after school club

I created a club for artists, and I downloaded from the gallery a Art Studio where they would meet up to paint, appreciate art, and my sim would mentor other sims, and that's how she met her husband.

I also created a group for insane sims, a kind of 'support' group for them to support each other in their mental illness.

I created a club for geniuses only, sort of like mensa. They get together and hack, program, play chess, paint, ect.

I hated the location for Garden Gnomes to meet up so I downloaded a venue that has a bar, pond, and garden for them which is much nicer, and changed the meeting place to that.

I love creating clubs!

This is a GREAT idea. I have this apartment lots I created (is in the gallery too if you want, one is High-End Loft Apartment the other is Ocean Apartments Complex) and I was thinking, I didn't want to move in some controllable person, wouldn't be the same feeling, but your idea is great specially because those apts are mostly (not all) small lofts, and would make sense business men or hard working people wouldn't be all day there at the lot. Great IDEA! I will try this!
