Default Inge Prison Mod
It was suggested to me in WCIF to keep my Hermit Joe on his home lot from going to community lots, when I am playing another Sims ( I don't want him around others ) to use The Prison mod.
But it do not work for me he still can travel to lots, or when I tested he can even drive to a lots I did place the "Silver Disk" in his inventory. And I downloaded everything and from her letters as to what it work with Seasons EP is there.
So I don't know what to think.

It won't keep Sims from going places if you're controlling them, it just keeps them from appearing on community lots and as walkbys when you're playing other families.

It doesn't stop you directing him. If you tell him to go to a community lot he will. As ihate said it stops him showing up when you are not controlling him. So if you are with another family on a community lot he won't show up there and he wont show up as a walkby going past their house.

The prisoner tag (silver disk) prevents your sim from showing up on community and residential lots when he's not controlled.
I don't understand how your hermit can drive to lots when you're not controlling him.

The only exception I have in my game. Ex-NPC burglar is in jail so I gave him a prisoner tag but since he's also the sim with the lower ID he's also the sim who is spied on (through telescope).

Two other things I thought I should mention:

a) You need twojeff's Visitor Controller for it to work. It's a useful hack anyways.
b) If you do want him to appear on a lot, you can use your teleporter tool of choice (SimBlender, Inge's cat) to summon him. Towards the end of my asylum challenge I let my patient visit another family and he disappeared when they tried to invite him over. Teleporting him in worked.

would this mod/hack also prevent the sim from being invited? or are invitations another exception?

what about if the sim is a coworker/classmate?

They disappear the moment they step onto the lot or get out of the car.

Ok When I was testing this mod with my hermit ( not really knowing how this mod work ) I direct him to a community lot, "not" knowing at the time that if you direct him, he will go. ( ok now I see )
@ ihatemandatoryregister I have always had the vistor controller in my game, maybe that is what I should use, But then again I would have to place vistor controller on every community lot I think.
So maybe I should just keep all the Prison files and place the "Silver Disk" in his inventory and see what happen.
Thanks you all

You don't need any other prison file, just the silver disk.

Unless you want it, of course.

You don't need the Visitor Controller. Stuff has just been added to the VC so that you can access prisoner tags through it.

Are you sure? I installed Inge's prison disc first without the VC and all the inmates showed up on a downtown outing. Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

If you have the disc in the inmate's inventory they should not ever show up at community lots, with or without the visitor controller. Inge made that hack way before the VC.

You don't need the visitor controller, agreed. The VC is compatible with it but it isn't needed. I made that mistake too! The way it's written makes it sound as though it's needed, but it's not.

I don't think that the prisoner tag stops them being summoned on outings, though, since that uses different code to walkby generation. I assume you mean when someone calls you out of the blue and says "Hey! Let's go Downtown!" and then invites a load of random strangers along.

Why would you need a mod to stop the controllable sim from going to a community lot? You have to tell him to go there! He can't go on his own!
