Default Indoor lighting without windows/lights off solution?
So, i think there's the only one place where this glitch is not comfortable/noticeable - Maloney Tower in Bridgeport, because it is a basement apartment with no windows. Unfortunately i love to start with it cos it looks so poor...
And there's a problem - when the lights turned on everything is fine, but when off... better watch attached pictures.
I tried to delete every single mod, tried BrntWaffle's and Buhudain's lighting mods but unsuccessfully. Mb anyone of you knows how to fix dis or is it just EA's "eat what is given"

Hide a light with minimal intensity somewhere to enable lighting. Disable auto-light on that particular light, leave it auto for every other one. This should keep indoor lighting enabled at all times.

There are invisible, buydebug area lights... both wall and ceiling. I usually use them, but lately my buydebug has been bugged... no pun intended.

It is as dark as you Sam Fisher with night vision goggles.

Yup, that's the trick. I guess this dumb blue hue is for gameplay purposes, but gameplay purposes my ass.

Default Partially Solved
Well, thanks everyone. Nitromon's reply was the most detailed in theory, in practice you have to *Shift + Ctrl + click* on ceiling lamp in 'buy mode' cos in 'live mod' it is invisible and choose intensity 0.1, it is minimal for game not to "shine bright like a diamond".
But there's still a problem with objects, they somehow don't become darker...

@sazzono try finding a lighting mod to fix the lights

Faith is made stronger by facing doubt, untested it is nothing.

Yeah, there is a lighting mod here that makes the night way darker. Realistic dark that is. I use it. It comes with darker, dynamic shadows. It makes TS3 look way more realistic than it is in its vanilla state.

It's a mod by dDefinder: http://modthesims.info/d/367164

And yeah. Objects are always way lighter than their surroundings. I don't lnow if that's the case with lighting tweaks mod though. I'll test it out.

Not sure if this is about shadows and i have those lighting mods like brntwaffles or buhudains. I prefer brntwaffles but buhudains already based on dDefinders... anyway not solves a problem

Yeah... while it fixes short shaddows and darkness of the night outside, the inside is still pretty damn light.
