This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Weird Toilet Stall Texture
I've been having this annoying toilet stall recolor that affects other normal recolors, i don't know if it's a conflict with another file or recolor but it's driving me insane. For disclaimer I've been trying to find out if anybody else has had this, but nothing. I've cleaned out the specific sub folder that has the texture bug in. Doing the 50/50 method would take a while since I regret having so much in the folder before i could organize it properly. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Doing 50-50 actually doesn't take that long even when you have a lot of stuff. I think that's likely to be your only solution.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

The 50/50 method really isn't that time consuming, and is the best way to find problem CC when you don't know what's causing the problem. Takes you an evening, tops. I've gone through 30 GB of CC, and was down to literally the last folder before I found the file, and it took me a few hours.

First, do a backup. Removing CC can sometimes cause weird issues with lots, particularly if you save them.

Then, move away anything you're certain doesn't cause the problem, such as CAS content, and other items that don't affect toilet stalls. That'll reduce the CC amount you need to test. If you're unsure about an item, keep it in the test folder.

Preferably use a test lot in a throwaway neighborhood.

Split the rest of your CC in two. Leave in one part, put the other on your desktop, then run the game.
Problem still there? In your case you probably won't need to test the second half, so put that away for now (but if your CC is not sorted into folders it's a good idea to test it anyway). Problem gone? Test the other half.
Problem still there? Split the CC in two, test the first half. Problem gone? Test the other half.
Problem still there? Put away the second half, and test the problem-half.
Etc.
...You get the drill.

If you're lucky, you'll stumble upon the problem piece quite fast.

To me, that looks like a UV map issue. So if you have any default replacements of the toilet stall mesh, it's worth taking them out. But if not, yeah - 50/50 goes pretty quickly even with a lot of files.

Is it possible that you have the remapped stall from here - https://curiousb.dreamwidth.org/38228.html - in your game? If you do, and didn't install the recolors too, then I'm pretty sure the toilet stall will look like you pictured.

Edit: After looking in my own game, I'm pretty sure that's what your problem is with the toilet stall. I *do* have CuriousB's remapped version, the toilet stall is fine in my game. BUT I also have Klaartje's toilet stall door, which isn't remapped at all, and the textures look exactly the same on it as they do on the toilet stall for you.

Update: I found what's been causing the problem and it's a CEP Extra for toilet stalls, without any cc in my game and the extra is there it still looks all weird. And yes mustluvcats, I had that stall recolor and i've been trying to find it thanks for that. But the recolors for the stall aren't all there, it's only the green color of the stall nothing else, no white black color ect. I've repaired my game via origin and the recolors still aren't showing up. I don't have any of curiousb's recolors in my game, but I just realized i've done something so stupid, i deleted the recolors in game (because i didn't know they were default and were causing the problem), does that mean all of the maxis recolors are gone?
Update 2: I don't have Klaartje's toilet door and it's still showing up like that even with curiousb's recolors (disclaimer i don't have any cc in my game other then the one's that i need to fix the problem)

Try taking out the CEP_Extra package. Does that help?

I doubt it's the CEP Extra alone, otherwise we would all have the problem. Something is clashing.

Update: The problem that has been causing this is curiousb's remapped stalls. I've been looking for the wrong since i renamed all my cc using bulk so my game runs better. Thank you for everyone who has helped!!

Not necessarily, jo - I certainly haven't downloaded every CEP Extra file that's available all across the community! Sounds like it's sorted out, though, which is good.

It's been 2 years since anyone has posted in this thread, but I come bearing information!!

The problem the OP had was caused by CuriousB's CEP Extra file - she remapped the in game toilet stall to use patterns better. If you have/had that CEP file but NOT her recolors, the toilet stall was going to look like the one OP pictured.

NOW: Klaartje made a version of the stall without sides. (Which I love btw!!) But since her door was taken from the original Maxis mesh, CuriousB's remap didn't affect it. So if you have/had that, Klaartje's door would look like the one in the OPs pic.

Confused yet? Sorry! Anyway, I fixed Klaartje's door so that the recolors CuriousB did will look right: https://mustluvcatz-reloaded.tumblr...-without-proper
Just keep in mind that if you have (or install) CuriousB's CEP Extra file that any patterned recolors you already had (made before 2013) WILL NOT look right as her file is the remapped mesh. So this is an either/or situation. If you like CuriousB's edit and recolors AND want to use Klaartjje's door, you'll need the files on my Tumblr. OR, alternatively, if you want to keep any old toilet stall recolors you have from before 2013, you'll need to do without CuriousB's edit BUT you can still use Klaartje's door.

You're welcome Jo!

Been thinking though - what I said about the CEP doesn't really make sense. If you have CuriousB's, the default textures are included so the in game toilet stall wouldn't look like that. If you have her recolors but NOT her CEP, then yes, they'd look strange since she remapped it. But that green in the pic is the default texture. The only toilet stall CEPs I know about are one from 2009 and CB's from 2013. So the OP must've had some other file, probably a CEP, that was causing the problem.

All that said, Klaartje's stall door didn't work with CB's CEP and now it does. Which is what I set out to fix!
