CC and TSR
I thought I would share this with you because TSR does not reply to me.

CatOfEvilGenius brought it to our attention that TSR put a "pattern" already in game that costs money.

In other news, TSR now sells... bucketfill! Yes, it's true! I kid you not! Since I *am* allowed to link to TSR, here it is:

Dot's bucketfill

While it's certainly a very pretty shade, it is not a *pattern*. And it already exists in the game! The Sims3 comes with white bucketfill. You can slide some sliders around and make any color bucketfill you want! Why is Dot's color a PAY item? Do TSR think they can copyright a color? For anyone who wants this in their game, here are the color values (decimal, not hex). I wonder if TSR will cry "Piracy!"?

red: 213
green: 171
blue: 63

Comment on TSR what you think!

Awww...takes me back to a time when I spoke out against the Launcher and for MTS and got permabanned....*wistful*

The Sims3 forums will rot your brain. My IQ has gone up 10 points since I stopped going there.

And while I do like some things at TSR, paying for it is silly. Too bad most of the Sims3 forum posters have no idea about the booty, cause of Ea's contradictory 'rules'.

Then again, I remember when Pescado started up PMBD and the current admin here at the time, LyricLee, and Delphy would not allow us to link, talk or refer to the booty. But LyricLee went down in a flaming ball of fire and now we have HP.

I doubt they are 'from' EA's forum. You can be at many different forums. What I'm wondering is what is their username here. I'd like to get to know them better.

And as far as telling people to google at TS3 forum....huh, they can't even read the install diections right.

How many times a day have you seen a thread start with this?

"I can't get the PeggyZone hairs to show up in my game!!! I did EXACTLY what I was supposed to and they still aren't there. HELP!!!!!!"

Only to find out they put it in MY Documents or other dumb crap. I HATE when someone says the did everything to the letter and it's still not working, only to find out they didn't read right.

Not to mention, I GUARANTEE!, 40% of the posters are under the age of 13. One kid said he was turning 8! in a thread I read. Which is actuallly AGAINST the EA rules. They don't enforce it.

Sorry for the rant but AAARRRRGH!

BTW, my imitation of a TS3 forum poster was spelled and punctuated too correctly.

And also, Nvmplz, your siggy is too long. Only 5 lines including spaces.

That's not the worst you know the toenails and fingernails available here on mod the sims for sims 3? Well TSR is selling them on their site:

I saw that! Greedy, money-grubbers. She probably 'stole' the nails too. (Pure conjecture for now)

Sad thing is that people (kids) will get a sub to that site before they find MTS, in some cases, cause TS3 forums refuse to 'officially' link here.
It really is a travesty.

I'm old. Give a gal a break. *senile*

No, really, I guess I don't remember people as well if I don't see an avi, and since COEG has no avi at TS3 forums, therefore doesn't exist. (I actually saw someone post, that since they didn't have an 'avi' at TS3, that what they had to say didn't mean much)

I love logical thinking that gets nowhere. :lovestruc

*on the look out for COEG*

Clearly this blank pattern is meant to be smaller in size and blanker than the original blank one that comes with Sims 3. I mean, just basking in the blankness of it all is enough for me.

...Yeahhh. While using a blank pattern can mean an easier time for your computer to handle something in the 3d environment, I doubt they improved it like that. Given it's TSR, that pattern is probably worse than what the base game comes with. I don't know how it could be, I just know it would be.

Missmudkip: I find your response goes perfectly with your avatar image. xD

Credit for breaking the news about DOT's pay bucketfill goes to PMBD, specifically HeyBubbe. I just spread what I learned there to the Sims3 forum, after first checking TSR to see that it wasn't actually Zanistanian Legislatures day today.

edit2: Oh, I see Delphy the merry prankster still has his A.p.r.i.l 1st filter in place. Heh.

Nvmplz - Thanks for making a thread about this, you beat me to it! I'm not sure what the best section is either. Would have thought a Sims3 CC discussion section, but I believe most CC discussion at MTS is "how to", not "news about". This section seems a good place then.

Sisaly - Hiya! You know, in RL, I can never remember people's names nor faces, so I sure don't blame you. There's tons of folks on MTS. I'm not a regular at the Sims3 forum, just started posting there a day or so ago, actually. Have been at MTS for years now, but I don't usually post in the social forums. As for no avatar, I thought "anonymous green head" was closer to what I actually want, the M.A.D Cat from Inspector Gadget, than any of the Sims3 heads. EA won't let people upload a custom picture for an avatar. (He does look remarkably similar to the Cheshire cat from Alice, though.)

------------------------------

edit: Here's DOTs pic of the orange bucketfill. Would be good to have in the first post, so folks can see we're not joking. I still find it hard to believe someone is trying to sell a color.

EA is seriously going to lose fanbase if they don't stop protecting paysites. (Kinda-sorta off-topic, I know.)

Riblan: That's not off topic, that's part of the thread. I do agree with you they've already lost so many fans with sims 3 and the store.
