Slower Food Spoil mod

This extends the base amount of time before prepared food goes bad.

I do not consider myself a creator, so if you have problems, I must refer you to the I Haz No Skillz clause. This is just a tweak that I had wanted for my own game, and, having successfully made it, thought I would share it.

Using Morgade's program, I altered the appropriate value for this one setting, and have tested the file in my own game on a Windows machine with no issues. I tested it without core mods, and also with Awesomemod and other tuning mods.

Try deleting your cache files if you have any issues (C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3)

I have included three different flavors:
  • 16 hours: extends the base amount of time before food goes bad to 16 hours. This is probably more realistic than the default 10 hours.
  • 24 hours: Extends the base amount of time before food goes bad to 24 hours. I found this version a little more convenient, and it still retains the realism element of food actually going bad.
  • 1 million hours: I couldn't quickly find a value that eliminated food spoilage altogether. This was what I actually set out looking for, as Simsky's mod for this in TS2 was a godsend for me. This flavor should eliminate you really seeing any food spoilage :P
