I know that usually fire stations aren't made in the modern style, but that's obviously my style, so that's how I wanted to make this lot. If you wanted a 'normal' looking fire station, then there are a lot of those.
I suggest changing the title of the fire station in your game to 'insert your town's name here' fire department. In this case, the title is descriptive rather than what would sound nice for it to be called in game.
I wanted to make a medium-sized fire station. Some I think are way too small, and some are way too big. The sim I'm playing right now is a fire fighter, and the fire station I was using looks great, but it's not quite big enough for what I like. I like there to be enough beds for all the fire fighters (I think the game employs five of them?), so I added five beds to the lot. I also wanted to add a bigger exercise area, as it's important for fire fighters to stay in shape, and I wanted there to be enough for a sim to choose what exercise equipment they wanted to use. There should also be enough room for a sim to 'train' another sim as well.
The first floor is the chill zone. It's for the food, the games (video games and shuffleboard). The second floor is for skills/work. There are two desks, three bookshelves, the gym room, and the bedroom.
As you may know if you look at a lot of my lots, I limit my CC to objects/build items that I use a lot. One new thing I found are these triangular mirrors. They're awesome, because they come in two sizes, different orientations, and most of them are found under the 'paintings' category, so you can move them up and down. It was loads of fun for me to make designs with them, which I did in the dining area and bedroom.
Lastly, the fire alarm is near the stairs.

7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

About me
Hi everyone, I make modern homes for the sims 3 with few exceptions. I also love oasis landing, so I've made many (and will continue to make) many OL homes and community lots. Use the 'oasis landing' tag to see all my OL lots.
I use some CC on some of my lots (usually just the residential lots), but I only use a handful of it and use a few key pieces quite often, so your game won't get bogged down with tons of CC if you download my builds.
Sometimes I won't be around for a while, but if I've posted something within a few weeks, I am likely quite active. I am happy to accept modern community and residential lot requests as well at my discretion.
