When I saw a post about real architectural drawings here on MTS I remembered my old hobby - studying house catalogs and drawing house plans (funny hobby for a 10-year old?) and since I've been working on making houses from www.trivselhus.se into Sims 2 houses.

They provide modern swedish houses and this upload is also one. I've made it with some rules:
1) Being true to the floorplan drawing comes first
2) Being very realistic comes second
3) Making the furniture and walls/floors as cheap as possible comes third
4) Making it as good looking as possible comes last

x) And only original Maxis stuff, not even University, and especially no recolours and mods.

The challange was to make it as good looking as possible with these rules! The only thing I could do was use the boolProp snapObjectsToGrid false, boolProp allow45AngleOfRotation true and moveobjects on.

And I think I did a pretty good job.. ;P The house is a decorated in a pretty cosy typical traditional Dalecarlian (Swedish) style and the garden is pretty Swedish.

The house costs: 46 360 simoleons

It contains 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a smaller toilet, a kitchen with dining area, an extra dining area, a nice livingspace and a veranda.

One thing is - I used one mod and that is Numenors glass pillars (only mod used, which is pretty bad anyway since I was set to not using any) .. But to be true to the realism and to the floorplan I had to have pillars on the front porch and there are stupidly enough no such in the original game, so you can find the glass windows and pillars here i guess:

I have made it without University things - but maybe people without University can't use it since Uni uses another file format or something; I don't know but I'll look into it.

Hope you enjoy =)
