I am very glad that you are still putting in new improvements to Sims 2. I love this version over the others, and you keep making it better! Thank you so much.

I think everyone else will want this for their game, this thing with those closets that EA put in all their apartment lot was supremely annoying. I never understood why they felt these needed to be ALWAYS VISIBLE ?
No more rotating and rotating to see what's behind the stupid closet Thank you so much!

Especially for those of us who play tiny lots and love the built in cupboard. This is going to get heaps of use in my game.

It doesn't seem to be working. I did place it in my new mods folder so it's down a bit, does it have to not be sub foldered?

@joandsarah77 Are your closets pre-existing? If they are sell and rebuy them and you should be good to go.

I hope! Let me know either way, please.

Well it's the oddest thing, because on the lot I just tried it at, it works fine. I built a closet and it worked, it also worked when I did it out in the garden. The first lot I tried it at earlier didn't have the large built in so I built it out in the back garden and it didn't work. After that I loaded up my hospital lot which does have a large built in and it doesn't work there-but that was an existing closet and it does back onto a wall shared by an elevator. After those two lots I posted here. Just now I loaded up a third lot and built a cupboard in a bedroom and it works perfectly! Maybe it's one of those unsolvable sim mysteries.

Just one of those things, I guess! I'm glad it seems to be sorted now though; thanks for the update.

Yes! I love using the closet, but it is always in the way. Having them cut down keeps the 'look' but won't hinder gameplay since I always add a dresser too. Thank You!!

Thank you!
I also want to ask if this is possible also for University signs (symbols on walls) and for columns. It always annoys me that it won't hide in cutaway. And if this is possible can you do it? Or tell me how I think I am able to do it for cloned objects but I wanted to modify maxis objects directly.

Thank you again

Tried this mod a couple of years ago, but ended up taking it out of my game after a while because of the reason you mention in your description - you have to put the walls back up, at least momentarily, in order to use the closet. Like you say, trading one annoyance for another.

One thing I'd like to add is that the closets not only cut away with walls down, as you mention in your description, but also with cutaway walls (walls partially down), which may or may not help with the closets remaining visible and clickable, depending on the camera position.

Also, the mod effect seems to stay with the closets, even after the mod is removed from the game. This may be obvious to you modders, but it isn't necessarily to us players, so you might want to state this explicitly in your description. For a few minutes, I was scratching my head trying to figure out why my closets were disappearing, before I remembered I had this mod installed a couple of years ago for a handful of houses.
No big deal, of course, I just exchanged the modded closets with the stoic, indestructile Maxis ones.

Like you say, it works for some players, not for others.
