Hello everybody,
Living where I do, I'm surrounded by 80+ year old brick houses similar to this (maybe with not as big a backyards, but same types of houses). Large, brick houses without hallways, so room size is maximized. So what i did was take an example of one of these houses and "Simify" it. This is the result.
When you enter the house your surrounded by an enormous living room thats primarily beige with wood trim. Big enough to house plenty of Sims with ample moving room. The staircase is in the corner of the room. Theres also a little crevasse behind the stairs that houses a small office and the entrance to the bathroom. The Kitchen and Dining Rooms both flow into each other and also flow into the living room, meaning that all 3 are basically interconnected in some way shape or form. The kitchen flows in to the dining room and so on. The kitchen is primarily white with wood floors and white appliances and counters. The dining room is a light brown with a brown shag carpet.
The second floor houses all 3 bedrooms, as well as a large room that looks similar to the living room that could be used as a family room. 2 smaller bedrooms on either side of the house are perfect for children because they fit a single bed and still have room to put in toys and such. The master bedroom is in a primary shade of blue stucco with dark wood floors. There is also a small basement that could house another bedroom.
The backyard is big, flowery, and shady. A large pool that has a center island perfect for getting away is the main accent of this backyard. Flower beds and a large patio also help make this house quite the family type house.
The whole house is already furnished (except for the 2 smaller bedrooms and that large space on the 2nd floor) for under $93,000 simoleans. All on a 2x4 lot.
Well, I hope you all enjoy it.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
