For all you fans of putting stuff on display here is something to put your stuff in.

There are five cabinets of various sizes for various sizes of stuff.
They are cloned from the end tables and coffee tables.
You can find them under surfaces miscellaneous.

You must download the CabinetTexture and at least one of the cabinets for them to show up in your game.

They have been tested in the base game and with expansion packs using numenor's BaseGameStater Pro

I have made them so that your Sims can't put stuff on them or take stuff off of them. I thought it might be a bit annoying if they started reaching through the glass and putting newspapers inside the display cases.

EDIT: Someone asked if they could be made usable by Sims.
SimUseablecabinets has all the cabinets in and sims can place things on them and take them off again. I have tested them for shopping and restocking and they seem to work fine. You still need to download CabinetTextures in addition to simuseablecabinets.
They have new GUID's so they will coexist with the other cabinets.

Your Sims will still be able to view the decorative objects you put inside the cases because the glass isn't part of the bounding box.
What this means though is if you have your cursor over the glass part only you wont be able to pick it up and move it. It shouldn't be much of a problem because you would have to be looking from a pretty weird angle not to get you cursor over the cabinet part.
The textures were from Texture and Colour Which is a good source of textures that you can use freely for most things.
It also has lots of information about tiling textures and such like if your feeling like a texture geek.

The Glass and the cabinet are both recolourable.
You need to make a recolour of the CabinetTexture file and that will recolour all the cabinets.

Now for the numbers

The models were made in 3ds max
The textures were fiddled with in Photoshop
And the packages were poked about with in SimPE I think that's everything I hope you like them and can find a use for them.
