This career does not overwrite EA careers.
This post offers two Hunting Career versions. Only download one according to your expansion pack compatibility.
A. The Base Game Expansion file that does not include Riding Skill need..
B. The Pets Expansion file that includes Riding Skill need
Instructions:
1. You need Twallan's Career Base-Mod correctly matched with your game patch number, found here: Nrass Career Mod
2. It does not seem to matter if you have a lesser or higher patch than I had when I made the career. The Base-Mod just has to be matched to your EA update/patch number.
3. I will only use Base Game rabbit hole classification for my careers. These include Grocery, Restaurant (Bistro), School, Bookstore, Theatre, City Hall, Mausoleum, and Hideout rabbit holes.
4. You need the EA rabbit hole lot OR a custom lot with a Rabbit Hole Rug/Door already placed in your town before putting the career in your mod-package folder or it will not show up. Find the rugs/doors here: Rabbit Hole Replacement Project
5. I have not assigned a career outfit. The game randomly assigns one; you can choose to assign a second outfit in game, or you can choose to use Shimrod's No Career Outfits Mod
Maidens and Dandies will faint at your feet and bards will ballad your bravery in this exciting and likely fatal career!

1. Scavenger
After reviewing your error-laden application, the Hunting Guild has approved your Scavenging License. You get to desperately pick at the leftovers of experienced hunters! You collect discarded hooves, tails, and the occasional eyeball. Hopefully, you'll get just enough offal to ease your hunger pangs and to collect a few coins at the market for the mismatched hooves and bone slivers. Before you make it to the market, you'll have to dodge the Drunken Loungerats and Venomous Weasels who want to gnaw on your bones; you'll also need to avoid the Butcher, who wants to skin you alive for drooling on his wares without buying. Better practice your tracking skills and weaponry so you can move up the food chain.

2. Trapper
Snares and rickety wooden contraptions are much safer than scavenging, and you'll have more time for weapon training. Muttering Red-pawed Beavers and Wild Haggis will be your most frequent catches, along with the occasional Hissing Foxrabbit. Unfortunately, all these animals are fairly clever, so you'll have to disguise your traps very well. The Tanner will sneer disdainfully at the meager hides but will still offer you a fair price; swallow your undeserved pride, thank the Tanner graciously, and then sweetly inquire about the price for a used breechclout to cover your blurrybits.

3. Slinger
Now that you have adequate tracking and slinging skills, after setting your traps you can go in search of such creatures as Fire Lizards, Jackalopes, Squawking Jerboas, and even Giant Mooseating Vipers (not to be confused with Giant Moose-Eating Vipers). The Butcher no longer swears at you as you slink through the village, the Hunting Guild is reevaluating your value as a hunter, and you are no longer the butt of those Chicken Plucker jokes in the tavern...hehheheheee...erm, sorry. I don't believe a word of it, I swear! Jeez, lighten up.

4. Bola and Club Hunter
Congratulations! The Hunting Guild now considers you a true hunter and has just magnanimously increased your membership dues! You've added the bola and club to your weaponry, which means you can go after slow-moving but larger and somewhat more dangerous prey. You'll get a bigger take at the market for Chickcharneys, Farksubbies, Nodding Glyptodos, and Scolding Glyptodonts. Make sure your aim is true, for once roused to anger, these beasts can be quite vicious. In fact, it seems a Farksubby has followed you home today...EVERYBODY PANIC!

5. Blowgun Hunter
With a blowgun you can safely aim for the streaking hind ends of Llamhigyn Frogs, Al-mi'raj Hares, and Green-fanged Racers. The tangy meat of the hares will keep your bairns plump and happy, and the Butcher will cheerfully mispronounce your name and pound you on the back in mild affection, for the meat of the Ramidreju Weasel and Puck Lizard, though sour and stringy, is considered a delicacy by the wealthy and taste-deficient.

6. Atlatl Hunter
A slender-spear atlatl is just the weapon to bag the Waddling Tapir, Yale Goat, Four-eyed Gazelle, and the ever-elusive Giant Peekaboo Mouse. Since you are hunting larger, more desirable prey, have become more sharp-eyed, can afford a decent mount, and can also afford a decent horse, you now have the luxury of cutting back on the hours spent tracking. Perhaps you'll spend that time and your tidy stash of coin in the tavern, rubbing your good fortune in the pinched faces of lesser hunters...

7. Bow Hunter
Beasts of the Wilderness, beware! You now have a well-made bow and a quick aim. Tanners nod and bow slightly at your approach, and Butchers give short toasts in your honor. Winged Saigas, Rainbow Bears, Lavender Deer, and Winged Sloths are your specialty. Their hides and furs will surely be adequate compensation for the many scars, the kicked-out teeth, and the missing toes...well, who cares?! You're a Hero among long-winded drunks!

8. Heavy Spear Hunter
You've become a little bored with hunting extremely dangerous prey. Upgrade to insanely dangerous prey and put your survival instincts and remaining limbs to the test with a Heavy Spear and an angry Khalkotauroi! You'll also enjoy the risk of goring by Hircocervuseces, Ypotrylls, and Leaping Hodags. Due to the dangers, these animals are hunted by groups, so you'll get to rub elbows with the exalted heroes of the hunt. Tanners and Butchers now grovel and toady at your approach, and sometimes break out into squabbles and fisticuffs for your business. Limp with pride, O Mighty Hunter!

9. Dragonshair Bow Hunter
Impressed with your bravery, large pectorals, and the way you barely wince when being stitched, a Hairy Dragon has gifted you with an extremely tough yet flexible strand of dragonhair. The honor of this gift should be loudly and constantly acknowledged, especially in the presence of Tattling Pixies, for Hairy Dragons get quite annoyed when they don't feel properly appreciated. Your new Dragonshair Bow, with its magical properties, will aid you in conquering the extremely dangerous Iron-horned Megaceros, Re'em Oxen, and Bluddy Qilins. If you manage to kill a Giant Moose-Eating Viper, you'll get free pints of Fiery Ale for life at the local tavern and a hero's discount on peg-legs at Morningbane's Wood Emporium.

10. Stark Crossbow Hunter
Your mentoring Hairy Dragon has generously bequeathed you with a lifetime supply of its hair. In addition, a well-paid sorcerer has presented you with a Stark Crossbow. With great weapons come great responsibilities (and great renown). Be sure to observe all hunting rituals, be frequently blessed by Monks and Nuns, and leave out curdled cheese for the Glittering Harpy Fae, whose sparkling droppings are necessary for the proper oiling of your new weapon. You'll face lethal talons and almost-certain death as you carefully stalk the Giant Deathbringing Birds: Thunderbirds, Firebirds, and Pouakai. If you live through the hunt, you'll walk through the village to the rhythm of silence as everyone hits the dirt in terror and worship (mostly terror). Tanners and Butchers will consider you a minor deity, and the Hunting Guild will erect a respectably-sized, anatomically correct obelisk in your honor. Did I mention you're terrifying? Please don't kill me.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
